Whiskas pouches at Mr T's

Just had my delivery. Ordered 10 boxes. Had a call earlier to say the computer had "deleted" my order and what had I ordered. I emailed them a copy of my online order as proof. They checked shelves and said no longer in stock but was now £13.99 and did I still want to order 10 for them to substitue. Explained purchased in store yesterday at £3.49 and that was SEL so could not understand as still on internet at £3.49. Delivery Manager phoned back to confirm it was a Tesco pricing error that was in process of being corrected by Tesco. He had been told could offer 4 packs worth (192 pouches) as that was all they had in the same variety in store. I said I would accept any variety but he had been told had to match like for like only by HO.
When delivered I received 16 boxes = 192 pouches. Should have been £3.49 for 48 instead of being charged £13.96 was charged £9.57. Plus free delivery as missed original delivery slot while they were sorting bits out.
Delivery driver said I should have insisted on 480 pouches but they could have cancelled as some others had theirs cancelled so happy with what I got tbh. There are only two things a child will share willingly - communicable diseases and their mother's real age0 -
Oh well, lesson learnt, if something is going to save you that much money, pay for quick delivery! Doh *slaps head*So so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
Hope sharing saves some pain.0 -
That sounds like a good response - i think it just depends who you get on the phone - my chap was insistant it was an error and all I'd get was my money back.
The chap I spoke to was really nice and helpful, fingers crossed it all works out though. Have a feeling the promised delivery for tomorrow won't happen but that's a potential complaint for another day:D.
I couldn't decide if the person was in a foreign call centre, seemed to have a heavy accent?0 -
I've cancelled my entire order that was due for delivery tomorrow - cant be bothered to ring up and argue - some you win some you lose.A home is not a home ..... without a dog0

i have just had my delivery and i have gone MAD. i got one box of all bran that was suppose to be free and got charged £2.09 plus £3.50 for delivering me the box. NO cat food at all even though i had ticked the substitutions box, i called them and they said the picker hadn't picked me anything up in store for the cat food. how frustrating !!! they confirmed i do have a delivery tomorrow and that they have put a note on to say i would like a substitution of any cat food. but myself i think they are trying to get away with not giving the cat food to us:mad::mad::A click the THANK YOU button if you think i have helped :A0

Just had a call from customer service saying they can't fulfill my whiskas order as it was a computer error and wouldn't offer subsitute. Only gave me £5 evoucher as a good gesture. So I cancelled the whole order as ordered some groceries aswell.
Ah well was worth a try but really wanted the cat food. What am I going to tell my cat about all those pouches that I promised her!!!No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -
Oh no, i've had a couple of Unknown numbers today, I never answer them, I bet it was Tesco's phoning to cancel....
