well after geting my bargain order i sat down and took a proper look at my order. they subsutitued 9 boxes of 48 which would have cost £31.41 for 16 boxes of 12 and charged me the same price. which when i worked it out i should have got 400 odd and only got 192 pouches for the same price!

Rang customer services very nice lad on the phone gave me the £17 odd refund, so all together for the 16 boxes of 12 poches aswell as the 6 boxes of 48, withe the £15 off first online shop and £17.45 and 3 for 2 on catfood offer aswell as the £17 odd refund i paid a grand sum of £7 odd!!

cant believe it sooo happym hope that made sense lol. So 480 pouches for £7!!!! works out 1p a pouch :)

    THANK YOU SOOO MUCH OP

Right - don't know how accurate this info is I've just been given.
Rang to say I was 48 pouches short - chap said it was a mistake on the website and it would refund me the price of £3.49 - I said I'd rather have the pouches but he said they'd been withdrawn as mistake on webiste. I sais people were buying them at that price in stores as well but he said that was an error too and they were busy ringing round people now who had orders pending to cancel them - so looks as though some of us got in just in time - thanks OP - my cats will be happy for a while.

Just had a phonecall from t cust services regarding my order for tomorrow - it's now been taken off of online and instore sale..... Game over folks!! I acted all innocent and said "well, yes it did seem very cheap, but I wondered if maybe it was a clearance or something?" and he said the info had been being spread by word of mouth about the price mistake and has caused huge problems - naughty msers!!!! :P

    Eek!

Yes I was really lucky - had order booked for tomorrow but brought it back to today just in case - thought it sounded too good to last.

Drat, just had my order delivered - 4 x 48 Pouches substituted for 4 x 12  .

Phoned Customer Services and they suggested a refund but I said I would prefer that the order be fulfilled;). So, they are supposedly going to deliver the rest tomorrow.

That sounds like a good response - i think it just depends who you get on the phone - my chap was insistant it was an error and all I'd get was my money back.

Just got a phone call, all 5 boxes cancelled, would not substitute. Said they are going to send me a £10 Tesco voucher for the inconvience. I said I would rather have the cat food as a £10 voucher is no where near the value of the savings I would have made and he gave me the number for customer services.

He said it was a nationwide pricing error and should never have been sold at that price. He said they have withdrawn the product from the website and the shops, so any outstanding orders won't have any products associated with them when they are downloaded by the shops to be picked. He also said that the money for the order is only taken on the day it is picked, so in their eyes there is no contract of sale yet. It is game over.

He said he had spoken to a lot of people who were equally unhappy, so I am going to take this up with customer services though, it was my first ever order from Tesco's online, so I am really not very impressed. If anyone has any bright ideas on which tack to take when speaking to them, I would appreciate any advice.
