  • Hi, I havent had any offer letter from HSBC but was wondering how long people have had to wait for a response from the date that they made their initial complaint??? Also, the loan that I took the ppi out on has been cleared, however I have another loan with HSBC which does not have ppi on, if my complaint is successful and I do get my money back, will HSBC automatically put the money towards my existing loan??? Thanks
  • Well, who'd have thought it? Since posting on here at 11.34, the money has gone in!!!! So my total has been 9 working days since they received my acceptance, which was 16 weeks and 1 day since I rang and complained.

How long have you been waiting since initially complaining to HSBC?

my offer dropped on my doorstep yesterday, exactly 16 weeks after i complained.

It will say in your offer if they will put it towards your other loan. I think they won't. in my case they are only applying it to the loan that it currently was for.

    First off, congratulations!!!!

What date did they recieve your letter?

Annoys me slightly, as my complaint has been in since August 2010!

Did you have a green dot on your return envelope?

    Well Done!

  • Yeah, I got the mysterious green dot, they received my acceptance letter on the 5th Sept. my original complaint was done over the phone on the 9th May. I'd hate to have to wait for over a year to deal with this!

Hopefully get mine in a day or so. Keep checking HSBC online banking to see if the loan disappears or not, that will be a good guide that things are moving...

Did they clear a loan or CC for you, and give you the rest cash?
