  • Waiting aswell, but it's not a bad wait knowing you're going to get the money. Overall, massively delighted with the outcome of the claim.

Everyone will find that all these institutions work on a 28 day system, the same as all companies run, the more you jump up and down the longer you wait, that is a well known fact,
Just sit back and wait ,you know you have it in the pot, ENJOY
  • Jut checked again and still no money, have sent a third email to chiefexec.

How many working days have you been waiting ?

Acceptance sent back 16th Sept, money in bank today.

Hope everyone else gets theirs soon too.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
  • Congratulations

I cant see how the banks having a 28 day turn round makes some peoples repayments go into their banks after a week whilst others are still waiting at more than 2 weeks. Makes no sense at all to me.

Well done, hope you enjoy a little treat with it.

It is annoying though (sorry not you Raksha, but HSBC), I put my acceptance form in the post on the evening 9th Sept (which was a Friday so they probably won't have received it until 12th Sept) and still haven't had anything through. There doesn't seem to be any logic in the order these things get processed. I would be quite happy to wait my turn if HSBC were progressing them in the order that they were received, but it seems to be a random process and is quite frustrating.

I agree, it seems to me now that the newer ones coming through are geeting actioned first and leaving us to wait even longer.

    Soooooooooooooooooo frustrating

Feel a shopping day tomorrow :j
  • They would have received my acceptance on 8th September (9th at very latest) and still nothing.

I emailed the Chief Exec on Friday and got a reply saying my email was being passed to a Senior Manager in the PPI redress department but I've heard nothing today. If there's no email or money tomorrow, someone at HSBC is going to be getting a earful, and I don't care who they are!

What's key here is when they did actually receive it and open the letter.

Check with them first when they did get your reply and if they have actioned the bank credit yet.

My acceptance letter stated 10 working days on it.
I posted mine early morning on Friday 16th Sep so it would have got there by Sat 17th, and hopefully opened on Monday 19th Sep , but I cannot be sure. If I hear nothing by the 30th Sep then I'll make contact.

Remember the more you vent to the hsbc employee the less helpful they will be inclined to assist. There only human and will react accordingly.

Lots if people are not even at the stage we are at the moment !
