i have had terrible service from Yodel this last week and reading this forum its almost 50/50 for good or bad service.

two failed delivery attempts (according to their system, yet i was in the house at both times)

and then the confusing part (small victory here but still confusing none the less) i rearranged my week to make a day free for them to deliver on the 9th may. i get a call from my neighbor to state that the parcel has been dropped off and is at her house on the 8th May!!

clearly their delivery system has a mind of its own and decided that it had enough of holding the parcel for me and pushed it through.

well regardless of that ive since emailed Yodel via Elaine.Boyle@hdnl.co.uk and am awaiting a reply with regards to the failed deliveries and blatant irregularities with regards to the failed deliveries.

i will also be contacting the company that i had purchased the item from to alert them of Yodels poor performance

It's impressive how Yodel's service remains so bad... Usually companies improve slowly, they just seem to remain consistent (And not in a good way!).

They only rebranded to try escape their awful reputation then just brought everything that was wrong about the old company to the new one!

Another poor Yodel experience.... only delivered half of my consignment (parcel 2/2) - signed for by my mum when I was out

Already contacted eBuyer to see what they say

They seem to be sorting themselves out now and I've had a consistent delivery guy for 6+mths since the switchover. He's Polish, but he's lovely, and as I'm a regular client he's learned what to do like the HDNL/Yodel guy I'd had for 8+yrs did :)

Yes, of course. Thank you for pointing that out :)

  • A miracle has occurred.

After continual bad service from Yodel (I'd never had a successful delivery from them up until yesterday - missing parcels, parcel left in the dustbin which the bin men dutifully emptied, parcel left on the door step in the snow etc) I decided to make a stand and started to enquire who was delivering for the internet stores that I use in order to avoid them. However I recently won a competition and was somewhat disappointed to learn that Yodel would be delivering my prize. They initially tried to deliver on Thursday but I wasn't in. The driver left a card with his mobile number on which I rang and left a message saying that apart from between 6pm and 7pm last night the next day I would be available to stay in all day would be Tuesday. I nearly died of shock when there was a knock on the door at 6.15pm last night and there was a very nice young man with my parcel!
  • I want to thank whoever posted the email addresses as I successfully managed to receive my money back from a company called 1 click print after a delayed dispacth, initially they told me that the item has been delivered but no one was there to sign. I emailed yodel and received clear information and evidence that this was a lie.
    So many thanks

I wonder how many peoples' Christmases Yodel will spoil this year?
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)
