  • Hi,

OMG I can't believe I too was sucked in by these. Those 'Mum looks 20 years younger' ads have been in my face for the last few months and I always thought, yeah whatever, until yesterday, after a couple of drinks of Christmas cheer, I finally succumbed and thought what's the harm for a few quid!!! I was so excited about ordering them that afterwards that I googled them to look for some reviews about the wrinkle miracles that are happening across the world ... and my heart sank. Thank God I did or I would have been stung for ~ 200 quid too before I would have known anything was wrong.
That was at about 9pm last night.

I immediately rang my credit card company (from a quiet cupboard so my dad wouldn't killl me for being such a fool!) to cancel my card and explained what had happened, and the girl already knew all about them - but said that I have to follow their cancellation procedure, and keep a record of all correspondence - and if they don't keep to their word, only then can the bank step in. Cancelling your card and getting a new one doesn't work, as the bank will still have to get the money off you as you have signed up to a contract.

I have already rung them this morning, on 0808 168 3685 (from UK), and they answered quickly and the lady was v helpful. She did try to persuade me to not cancel until after I have tried it - i.e. to push me over the number of days so they can charge me fully, but has now said that my account(s) have been cancelled and I will not be charged or receive any more shipments. Apparently I am still gettting the trial thing, which I DON'T WANT, even though I told her that, so I suspect that is a way of still trying to get money off me. I asked her would I not be charged for that and she said no, just use it and enjoy it. I don't believe her so will send it straight back when I receive it.

What annoys me is that usually you are at least asked to click on 'I agree to terms and conditions' but there was none of that. (let's face it I prob would have just clicked on it anyway without reading it ..
Well lesson learned, I hope it gets sorted and I hope everyone else gets sorted out too. Just wanted to say don't panic, as the phone number did work, and it appears as though it should be cancelled easily enough. I just feel for the people who were charged all that money beofre they even realised what was happening. Good luck!
  • I also was taken in by this free trial. I paid for the trial - two payment just under £3 each on the 18th Dec and recieved the products within days. I have cancelled this trial by phone today and was given an ID code for both products. I used 0808 168 3685 number and was only on phone minutes. I also e-mailled them about the phone call and ask for comfirmation that it was now cancelled. In the meantime I transferred all money out of the account I used to pay for trial and reported my card lost. I just hope this has been enough to stop them. I am going into my bank tomorrow to explain what I have done and hope they understand. I have printed all paperwork I have recieved and sent. I just feel for the ones that have had lots of money taken out of there accounts. I have learnt by my mistakes and will always check small print and terms next time.
  • Hi
I live in Australia and I signed up for these products also, but I read about the monthly delivery and charges so I cannot call this company a scam. We are all responsible for reading and understanding the details in any agreement. I ordered the products, and they billed me 14-16 days later, so all was in order as far as that goes.
HOWEVER - I have now sent them reply emails off their "confirmation" emails, that they sent to confirm my order had been received and was now being shipped.
I have advised them to CANCEL my orders from now on, so I expect them to do this, and I expect I will not be shipped any more products nor be billed any more money.
If I find they send another lot of products and/or bill me again, I'll return to this forum and let you all know.
I did try to ring the 24Hrs/7days a week phone number but got a recording advising me to ring back during operating hours, so I don't know how they can call that a 24 Hr/7 Days a week number.
Being in Australia made it harder to ring, as we are 10 hrs difference here, but I'll keep trying and see what happens.
On another note, I did not find these products to be any more effective than my usual skin care products. They do not give the results claimed.
Will let you know if I get through.
    Thanks
    Daphne (Melbourne)
  • Well today I recieved two e-mails to say my accounts with both revitaderm and perfect radiance have been cancelled. The e-mails both say
"We are sorry to see you go. This is confimation the ACCOUNT ************* has been canceled and is no longer active with us. You will recieve no further charges from this program."

I suppose I am a lucky one and cancelled before the 14 days were up. Good luck everyone.
  • Same here. I wouldn't have acted so quickly if it hadn't been for MSE so thanks to everyone for their helpful advice.
I phoned my credit card provider and cancelled the card. I could not get through to the "scammers" at first as they were shut for Christmas but all OK now.

Not like me to fall for this sort of thing either. Somewhat comforted to know it wasnt just me being dense.

I got suspicious when I found the Revitaderm was odourless when there were so many nice smelling ingredients. If had checked my less used email account earlier alarm bells would have rung at the time.
  • I too fell foul of their "free" trial. It couldn't be further from the truth. You get billed £75 for the "free" trial if kept after 12 days. (this is from date of order not delivery) and thereon after every 30 days. I was lucky enough to realise the scam during that trial period. I emailed them and cancelled my subscription, returned the sealed products back to them but as I was unsure they would receive within the 12 day period (over the xmas break) I cancelled my bank card. My bank warned me that if they are unable to draw off my bank account, they will probably request monies in writing! They will of course be whistling for their money.
I know your post was a few months ago, and I hope you managed to sort it out but this is for anyone else who may experience problems.
  • I just signed for this, feeling really stupid now but I have not entered my credit card details and I havejust sent an email to the UK site to cancel the order as the telephone number on the web site does not work I am hoping that the fact I did not enter my card details they will not process the order
I have phoned the 0808 number on the web site and keep getting put on hold
this is a mess I only looked at it and thought oh it had been in the daily mail reputable english paper
  • I have just rang the 0808 number and spoke to a rep who has cancelled the account and issued a refund for 74.95. going to wait and see if i get email confirmation & an actual refund.

Unfortunately after spending the best part of 30mins on the phone she said they dont deal in juvenue but only rejuvenue but the ammounts that are charged for that product dont match what has been taken from my mothers account.
After giving her no end of details she couldnt find any other accounts in my mums name.

So my problem now is trying to find out who to speak to about cancelling the Juvenue product.

Anyone help? Ive tried reading through this thread but i must be missing something.

    Thanks,
  • I agreed to the free sample face cream and eye serum for £2.95 for the cream and £2.97 for postage, this was done by phone on 26th December 2011, when the company called me - they said they would not charge me £75+ until the free trail is up. I have since Googled them and now know they are con artists. I emailed them and called, I cancelled the products and asked if they would still debit my account, they said no. I have called my bank and took the advice from this forum, I cancelled my card and will be receiving a new one - this will ensure they don't take any more money from me. I am just under £6 out of pocket - I can live will that and feel that I have got off light.

I am sorry for the people that were conned by these greedy scum.
  • Hi Guys, complete newbie here BUT I have IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT MAY HELP YOU TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

When I got my full size version of Perfect Radiance I noticed that it looked different to the trial size I had been sent before. The trial size was more cloudy and the full size is a clear gel, so I read the ingredients list on the back of both of the bottles:

The ingredients that are listed on the full size bottles of Perfect Radiance are DIFFERENT to the ingredients that were listed on the trial size and this is MISREPRESENTATION under UK Law. importantly the full size DOES NOT CONTAIN HYALURONIC ACID.

I called the call centre number listed on page one of this thread and initially was told that they couldnt refund my money as I had not read the terms and conditions on the site when I applied for the trial, even though I told them several times that I had read the site VERY carefully and there was not a complete T&C list on the site at the time. THEN when I told them about the difference in ingredients, particularly the fact that the FULL SIZE BOTTLE DID NOT CONTAIN HYALURONIC ACID (which was what I wanted the product for in the first place as it is the most effective, and most expensive wrinkle-busting ingrediant), the guy I was speaking to immediately put me on hold (obviously to speak to a manager) and when he came back on he first told me that there had been a product change, then when I told him that this was unacceptable as I had not been informed of this they agreed to give me a FULL REFUND of all monies taken from me, and to completely cancel the account. Obviously they had realised that they had been caught out!

AGAIN GUYS THE TRIAL VERSION CONTAINS HYALURONIC ACID AND THE FULL SIZE VERSION DOES NOT.

The refund should happen within 10 days so I will keep you posted. I hope this will help you all to get your money back.
