Well I felt like a bit of a mug after accepting a refund and a £10 'gesture of goodwill' so I phoned Tesco again & basically said 'You've honoured it for everyone else - I WANT MINE NOW PLEASE!'

After a bit of a debate on the phone it was referred to the 'Support Team' and then I got a call back saying they were going to send me a gift card with enough credit on to order the Storio console and Dora game when it came back into stock! He even apologised to me for the inconvenience of having to order 2 items! I could not believe it!

Be warned though, they did try and fob me off by saying as I'd refused the 'wrong' item and also had the £10 goodwill there was nothing he could do as technically I was not out of pocket, but I did persist by saying why would I accept an item that I had not ordered.

Finally! Received a phone call from Tesco customer service. The guy advised me that Storio Pink is out of stock and will offer me a refund first and once Storio Pink is instock, he advised me to place the order and send an email to customer service to reclaim the difference. I said no and told him that I rather wait til Storio Pink to become available then exchange. He said he cannot do exchange. I then said I don't mind getting a Storio Inc Car, he said that is ok but said he will have to refund my order first, then I place an order online and write an email to claim the difference, I said no because it will take forever for someone to come back and I may need to explain. I suggest that I place an order first then do the refund for both at the same time. He said ok and gave me his direct number. Sorted! Now waiting for 2 confirmation emails of my refunds. Good luck everyone. I did try to get the Storio car n dora cartridge but the guy said then i am getting two cartridge haha i said "oh yea" i will just stick to storio car then

thanks op i managed to get one with the cars cartridge with no resistance what so ever perfect xmas pressy for a special little someone lol

i cant believe how inconsistant tesco are when dealing with this problem, it seems to depend who you speak to and what kind of mood they are in as to wether you get the original item that you should have got honoured or not ! I urge everyone to keep contactacting them regarding this as it just seems to depend on getting through to the right person, and if you dont get the console that you ordered in good faith in the first place then maybe sending an email to watchdog might just do the trick!

Finally a result. I have picked up my Storio, not the Dora one as out of stock. I received the Storio Toy Story 2 version and a Dora ebook. So daughter will be well chuffed forher birthday next month. Not pink but at east she has two books.

Well done everyone.:T Sadly for me I jumped in and accepted the £5 "goodwill" refund and then when I realised everyone else was getting the storio I contacted them again ( I was just chancing my arm didn't think I would get anything) and explained that the more I thought about it I wasn't happy with the outcome more so because I had purchased 2 games for the console from argos and how they don't take back games back so I am stuck with the games and that I thought I should have been offered the replacement storio for my inconvienience and basically the reply was they couldn't offer me the storio because of the value of it but due to it being partly tesco's fault I ended up with the games the CS has contacted argos and they are willing to accept the games to be returned on this occasion :rotfl::rotfl: oh well my little white lie back fired on me:o but it was worth a try well done everyone else who receives the storio YOU WIN SOME YOU LOSE SOME ! X

i picked up the orange and blue one for my daughter the other day and today i received a call from tescos saying sorry they cant forfill my order and as its been on going for so long would i be happy with refund of 54.97 as it was clearly there fault to which i agreed ( seemed like a good idea at the time lol) they said they would refund the card i bought it from so was really happy got a storio plus discount until i checked the email saying about the refund i got 2 refunds 1 for 16.97 and a second for 54.97 so 71.94 in total lol not sure how but makes up for all the wasted fuel looking for cameras

I've complained through all the correct channels and all they are offering me is a £10 goodwill gesture! Not impressed! Thinking of boycotting Tescos now (which may mean i need to stop looking at the grabbit/glitches!).
