Finally collected the RIGHT item from my local store. I only had to pay £5 on top of what i originally paid £21.97 in total. Tesco topped up the rest £33 :-) Really pleased!0

I'm not sure it would work as your receipt with order would state £16.97 on it. You wouldn't be able to hand them anything showing a £55 payment.
I was able to get a refund on my second Dora cartridge that they sent along with the Dora Storio console so did get refunded £16.97 and kept the Dora storio console with ebook included. They spent an extra few minutes trying to work out why the product code on my order didn't show on the system (which we know is incorrect) but at the end of the day I could produce my online order for a doria storio for £16.97 and that's why they refunded it. i see what your saying but as i had to order the storio replacement myself and they refunded next day, i ordered for instore delivery so i have a reciept for the storio for 54.97 but would they know cs had refunded because of order number. i'm not going to try it as i really want the storio it just got me thinking. thanks for replying

ooooo then yes, I think you could if you wanted too as my ebook didn't relate to my original order but they did refund as it had the price on it. Congrats on getting one whichever option you choose.0 -
I went to collect mine on tuesday, and got the toy story cartridge. Rang Customer services that evening and got a lovely girl, told her it was for my daughters birthday on sat and I thought that it was really unfair that they had discontinued it, yet were still selling the pink one, and blah blah, 5 minutes later the lovely girl said, no problem as it was there fault she would get me the pink storio. She rang me back ten minutes later gave me an order number and I collected it yesterday afternoon, am delighted- thanks to OP !!!!;)0

How did you get on with that? They made you an offer and you accepted so I don't know where you stand now and I am curious.0 -
