  • hi tarosan, i wouldnt let them fob you off they were trying to with me but i stood my ground and they spoke to their support team and agreed to honour it, i would email them and tell them you are disgusted with how you have been treated it is their mistake not yours so you shouldnt have to pay for it.

  • Got my refund on the second dora book today... cheeky I know but so happy with my dora storio freebie! My daughter will love it for Christmas and I will have so much pleasure from knowing it was free. Well done to all those that were successful and thanks so much OP!
  • When i went to collect the 'console' last week i got the sales assistant to open the package there and then discovered it was the Toy Story card. I emailed HO this week after seeing everyones post and sent them an emailing explaining how i was appalled at the service i received etc at not receiving the item i have purchased.

    Today i got this reponse:

    "Thank you for your email addressed to our Chief Executive Philip Clarke, to which I have been asked to respond.
    It is concerning to learn that you have purchased a VTech Storio, and have only received the Toy Story cartridge. I appreciate that this is frustrating, and I would like to offer my apologies for any upset that this may have caused.
    I have discussed this with our Tesco Direct Business Support Team, and I have been advised that there has been several errors with this item, which has fortunately now been resolved. I am very sorry for any upset that this has caused.
    A return and exchange will now have to be arranged for the VTech Storio to be sent to you. This can be done by calling 0845 600 44 11 and arranging this with the Tesco Direct Aftersales department. Alternatively, I can arrange for this to be done if you advise me of a date when you are available at home for the exchange to take place. I apologise for any further inconvenience that this may cause.
    Thank you for contacting the Chief Executive's office, and I look forward to your reply."


    I emailed back and said that I had received a refund in store, but surely this will be on record. Do you think because I got a refund I wont be entitled to receiving the item?

    for the cartridge that was sent yes but tonight I complained of their incorrect advertising and not honouring their incompetence on their website, I do have proof of the original item purchased and print out of what was on their website at the time of purchase and after when they told me that it wasn't there and it clearly was.

    They refused me at original call with the lady at the customer service desk helping me whilst calling from store - but maybe a complaint on line and proof of delivery on my account it will be sorted.. I just didn't have the energy to do it at the time after standing in the store for over 40 minutes trying to talk to someone on phone:mad::mad:.
  • I got a phone call offering me a £10 credit which I did accept but I have emailed them now explaining that I am still not satisfied.
