  • Yep, well posting is all done ready to send tomorrow. Birthday present ordered (design yourself converse would you believe )and about £20 left in Paypal...might have to squirrel that away for OH's present.

The £100 that I'm waiting on payments for can go into the bank when it arrives. Should pay off amount I spend yesterday on converse.

Does anyone else think I've been roped into spending to much on converse, or is it just me????

I have a few more things listed that should help the total a bit, now I just need to find more.....might have to raid the MIL's.

  • oh I've not posted for a while. Some more eBay paid so I have £45 on it's way to the bank, however once we checked how much was left from OH's wages after everything was paid it left about £40 to last just over a week.

I think I've just added £30 to that though as with a couple of bus rides instead of using the car, and a batch of free parking at work due to work going on around the car park I should get away without buying a parking ticket for work. (which was budgeted for)

That means I might be able to pay a bit off the CC. I've also got just over £50 on the way from another sale....if I can get at least £80 on the CC it won't be to bad as that will pay for the converse and make me feel better.

Especially due to the fact that one direction concert tickets go on sale on saturday and DD2 wants that as her birthday present. CC might have to be used again. I WILL pay it off though as we were going to start birthday/christmas shopping when I get paid in a couple of weeks.

I'm off tomorrow and while the garden and house need some attention I want to see if I can find more to eBay, my current batch finishes on friday and I don't have anything else lined up at the minute. Not good. :(

  • It's my day off :T

I love my day off more and more...right todays task is: THE GARDENS. If I don't get them done today I fear it will stay a jungle for the whole of winter.

I'm going to make a lovely brew then start on the front so at least everyone will think the back looks the same (which hopefully it will by the end of today), the cleaning of the house may get done, or may not, but OH is going to do it at the weekend if I don't get around to it. :D I might even rope him into doing the bathroom too.

  • hi aiming high :) well done on all the ebay sales! That is top of my list for this month, making my millions from ebay (ok so i prob only have around £20 worth of stuff but still...it's a start ;) ) I also need to do our garden but as kids are ill i don't want them outside, and they are following me EVERYWHERE at the minute!! Good luck with yours :) xx

  • £20 of stuff can quickly turn into £40. LOL

It's amazing how much I've made from the small stuff really, though I have had a few bigger bits in there too. I just need to stop spending on the CC for the kids and get it down more..wrong time of the year for it though. :(

  • Grrr, TV license is the pain in my rear. I finished my payment schedule in july so when september pay came around and I'd not had a letter through i phoned the automated line. (tis in hubbys name, though was in mine, they switched it and now won't talk to me:mad:) it said no payment due.

Ok I thought it will turn up soon enough. Then this morning I get a letter saying I owe just over £12 as I'm late with septembers payment

So do I phone them now, while my hand is still shaking from strimming both gardens, or later when I feel, calm clean and refreshed?

BTW Front and back garden are mowed and strimmed, but will need another mowing after this brew as it was wet. Try putting sugar in a brew when your hand is still shaking :rotfl: or even typing for that matter.

  • Hi Aiming High

Your coming out of your shell abit more I hope thats a sign your much more confident on everything you plan to acheive!:j

Anyway my gardens looking bad so what when is your next day off :rotfl:
Electric and Gas Predators 17/£700 :(
    :j:j:j October make £10 a day challenge :j:j:j
    £155/£310
  • Confident yes - will it be quick enough for my impatient liking - probably not. :rotfl:

As for the gardens. Pah! My hand is still shaking (mostly noticeable when I put sugar in my coffee) from all the strimming and I finished at 5.15. Thats from starting this morning, with only one brew break and a nibble of some crackers.

It's looking lovely now though, and i hope that I don't have to do it again this year.

As for doing yours, I'm afraid my next day off is now next wednesday and as the house will be a pig sty by then (even with hubby cleaning it this weekend) it will have to be a NO, NO, NO. :rotfl:

Clearing the CC is going really slow this month, mainly due to us having hubbies wages to last us for 3 weeks instead of the usual 2, so eBay money seems to be keeping us afloat, but on the plus side we've not had to borrow from family or use the CC for day to day things so far, and it doesn't look like we'll need to either. :T

I need an early night tonight (we'll see if that happens  ) as I've got to get the kids into school as early as I can 8.40 then come home and get the bus to work. All to save buying a £30 parking ticket for work for a few weeks. (have a few days of free parking due to road works), actually thinking about it, I might still drive but use the cheaper car park that is a bit further away. (kids are at clubs, so normally I don't have time for this ) It's the same price as the bus and I can pick up the parcel from the SO on the way home....to busy gardening today. That's a much better plan. See I write things down and I get ideas. :D

Tomorrow I'm off to see the MIL and hopefully cadge a few things for eBay. We'll see how that goes. ;)
