When is the monthly update thing?

So I guess if they say no before the 20th it's fine to ask again after it but pointless trying if they already said no?

After a couple of weeks of confusion and delays it looks like my new account is finally up and running. I just tried an electronic funds transfer to test the system and it seems super fast so I'm impressed with it so far and some of the online features are pretty good too.

I might give it a few weeks before setting up any standing orders though.

Yes, new customers registering can register on one site and the log on will only work for that site and view accounts for that brand.
    Existing online customers aren't affected.
And yes to the other bit :o
I opened a Halifax Reward current account and a BOS vantage current account both in late September/early October. I asked Halifax via email a couple of times if I would be able to operate both via the same log in details and was told this was defintely not possible contradicting what some people on here have said.
I have just received the log in ID for BOS online banking and can see both using that ID.

Well tried today, on both accounts.

Reward had a £100 od and I increased to £250. Approved. Increased to £500. Approved. Thought why not and went for £1000. Approved.

Second account had £0 od. Applied for £250. Approved. Increased to £500. Approved. Thought why not (again) and went for £1000. Approved.

I am happy that they've allowed this but im still scared to apply for a card even though you would presume that given they have let me add £2k in od's, would they authorise me a card?

Might wait another 6 months before applying tbph :A
  • Hi All -

Sorry if this is the wrong place, I have questions about the £100 switch to the Reward Current Account I'm hoping someone can help with..

If you go in branch and open the account, you get your £100 instantly - Does anyone know how long you have to use the account & deposit £1k a month for before you could switch back to your previous bank? I can't seem to find anything about it in the T's and C's..

    Thanks!!

I think this months update was today or yesterday (my guaranteed credit card offer has gone and they are offering something else)

my post on 28/10/2011 was based on the same reasoning

Definitely wait for a guaranteed credit card offer or see what the branch / phone banking can offer otherwise you waste a credit search (multiple searches have been reported by other posters)

Do you have any online offers at the moment ? my guaranteed credit card offer has been replaced by an ISA offer and I have a loan advert under the bank accounts / above credit card accounts

Santander will approve an overdraft of over £1000 on my account , but I don't have any pre approved credit card offers there (checked with branch)

Nat West would increase my overdraft to over £2000 according to the branch

These overdraft offers appear to be throughput based

The guaranteed credit card offers are below - the form seems to be the same length as the new customer form so I don't think takes your banking conduct into account , if the form was pre-filled like Nat West then I would be tempted to use it

"*Please note that the guaranteed offer is only available to selected customers who have received a personal invite. It is only available for a limited period and it will be removed from your online offers when it has expired. If you have accessed this offer or received this page through any other means then your application will be declined."

Thanks for the above. Someone else said when you get a guaranteed offer to ring up.

Sadly I have none. How did you get those two links? Shame about the small print at the end hehe :)
