Halifax PPI redress Payments

After being told my mortgage ppi would be paid by 15th Dec, and then moving the goal posts to give themselves another 30 days, still nothing. Still no credible explanation either.0

Well the Halifax are 3 months late with the cheque for my PPI refund.
I have made around 25 phone call and keep getting fobbed off with excuses of backlogs and escalations and also cheques sent to old addresses.
Can someone please PM me the email address for the CEO of the Halifax?
Also the email address for the CEO of lloyds TSB would be handy as they are also sandbagging.
How can the banks be allowed to drag things on this long?
Cheers

I sympathise completely, I made my claim in May and received a letter back quite quickly acknowledging the claim and was told it would take between 12 and 16 weeks before I would hear again. 17 weeks later I had my quote through and the letter said I need do nothing more and that I would receive payment directly into my back account around 30 days later.
That was in September, nothing received by the end of October so contacted the Halifax to be told that I needed to be patient as they had a backlog. I kept pestering them and on some phone calls was told that the money would be transfered soon and other times that a cheque would be sent to me (who knows which is true). Then someone mentioned that a cheque had been sent out in October and this was now the end of Nov so I asked to escalate this and they said that I could not speak to anyone more senior as nothing further could be done, they would email the relevant department and get the cheque reissued. I confirmed my address details and they told me it would be about 7 days. 7 days later I rang and they told me that it had only just been escalated and I would now need to wait 30 days (not 7). That brought me to the beginning of Jan and they have now told me that another cheque has been sent on the 3rd Jan and that I need to wait 7 to 10 days to receive it as it has been sent my 2nd class post. Since when does 2nd class post take 7 - 10 days to arrive. Royal mails website states they aim to deliver up to 3 days after posting for 2nd class, which even at busy times is nothing like 10 days.
This is so infuriating, I'd love to know the real reason behind the delays and how the Halifax can have such inefficient services. :mad:0 -
PPI refund is showing in my cc account and also says a cheque as been made! is this the case with you people that have been waiting months for your cheques?
Thanks!!0 -
Hi there
I am looking to complain to Halifax on behalf of my parents... they had 3 loans with them, 2 from the 90's and 1 in 2001 all with PPI, is it too late to make a claim as they were told at the time that the insurance was compulsory for loans to be accepted?
Thanks0 -

I believe they credit your card, then send you a cheque, then take the refund back off the card.0 -

Look here for reasons for mis sell
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#step2
If any/all apply then put a claim in.
I take it you have the account numbers?,if you do,get one of your parents to ring the claim in
http://www.halifax.co.uk/contactus/howtocomplain/complain-about-ppi/
Have reasons for mis sell ready.
Good luck.0 -
Thanks for the help! yes they do they have credited my credit card and made a cheque out on the 9/1/2012 . Is this the stage that every one else is at that are complaining about it taking months ? I've read posts with people saying its showing on there credit card but didnt say how long it took to get the cheque ?
Thanks again0 -
Still waiting for payment on mortgage PPi to be issued. After further escalations, excuses etc they still can't give me specific dates. I have new figures but I've been here before.
Considering that they were due to pay by the 15th Dec they really have strung this along.0
