I am also watching this thread, received letter of offer of all premiums and interest on 26th august signed and returned and i am still waiting? I have called and have been told its accepted and on a backlog! Patiently waiting! It helps to call at 8.30am you get through right away!

Hi called this morning 0845 number got through all very myserious does anyone else think that they just dont give u a straight answer. They received my acceptance form signed on 2nd september and told me today a payment pending date 23rd sept? I said oh does that mean payment that day she said sort of means ball rolling you shld be paid by end month. Any1 else been paid yet??????:rotfl:

Nope! Can i ask is it the calculations you are waiting on or the actual payment? I got offer letter on same day as you and am waiting for calculations now. Would be happy to get calculations by end of sept but wont hold my breath!!

Hi Mary yes waiting on calculations but lady said payment progression date 23rd sept which meant i shld have payment before end of month,give them a call,:p

I sent my acceptance back and it was received on the 26th August.

I am now calling everyday and just being told, nope no change yet.

They told me originally that they were aiming to sort it by the 13th.

On the 9th, I was told hopefully 2 weeks (23rd September) or worse case scenario 30th September.

But we'll see.

I would imagine the maths involved in mine will be a royal PITA.

Similar to you I am calling them nearly every day to be fobbed off with different timescales! One call said 3 weeks from receipt of acceptance another 4-6 weeks another 28 days! Who knows! Makes me angry though as they should be informing us properly as it is our money! You will be paid interest i believe until the day they pay out! Today i was told my claim with cashiers whatever that means? I got my acceptance letter end of august like yourself!

You sound like you are further along than me.

I don't even think they have begun calculating mine yet

Although a total of 8 loans refinancing each other dating back 13 years, one of which I received a good will payment 3 years ago and a 13 year credit card.

The credit card and the latest loan are still in force with the loan having 20 years left.

It will be a nightmare to calculate :rotfl:

And yes we will get the interest, but a month at 8% isn't going to be life changing.

I also have been on the phone to them pretty much everyday since they received my acceptances-every time I get a non committal answer saying they have received a lot and are working through them. But they can't tell me when-I tried to give them examples last time I called i said should i expect it in two weeks, three or another four weeks-the guy just said he didn't know. Great service!!!!! NOT!!!!


All of my six acceptances were received by Halifax between 26/08/11 -09/09/11 and not one single one has been dealt with.

The last guy I spoke to did say that when they are calculated a letter with a cheque or payment advice (if money paid directly to a bank account) will be sent- just want that day to bl**dy hurry up!!!!


I am seriously thinking that there has gotta be a better way to run my finances than using these banks....:mad::mad::mad::mad:
