With the launch of the acclaimed new 3-series, BMW has also revealed details of a sophisticated new electronics package that is aimed straight at the new car's core market.

Dubbed Bellendtronic, the new system is fully integrated into the car's control systems and allows a range of functions including full disablement of the indicators, perilously late activation of the brakes and an adapted radar cruise control that allows the driver to sit 4mm from your back bumper in the outside lane of the M6.

Amongst other neat touches, Bellendtronic can also apply light brake pressure at all times, covering the wheels in dust, something that will be a particular benefit if your fleet manager wouldn't let you specify alloy wheels and you want to disguise ugly plastic rim covers or the fact that if you weren't such an aspirational little tw*t you'd have gone for a rather better equipped Honda Accord.

Initially Bellendtronic will be available on the forthcoming 316i and 318i models only, but the system is expected to become standard fitment for all models in the smaller 1-series range within a year.

Audi is poised to make certain versions of the A4 available with a rival system dubbed 'Pushytw*t Plus'.

Are these features actually legal? And what use are they anyway? I just don't get it at all!!!

If someone gets that close to me I sometimes tap the brakes just so I can see their fist waving and their gob flapping...it's so funny, you should try it!

I have always taken the approach that if you are not taking the first exit, you signal right until you pass the exit before the one you wish to get off at, and then you signal left.... Always worked for me!

    Wrong!

Half past six this morning I took my exit of a roundabout onto one of MKs many dual carriageways and found myself behind a car doing 30mph. I signalled and pulled out to overtake. Suddenly this a****ole sped up and carried on till we both reached 80mph.
Anyway I knew there was a roundabout coming up so eased off but didn't brake. Of course he sped up some more then pooped his pants when confronted with a roundabout at about 60mph.
He tried to take it whilst slamming his brakes on, nearly lost it and only just managed to get to the other side in one piece where I passed him laughing my head off.

    Why do they bother?
My mind not only wanders .......... sometimes it leaves completely

Happened to me the M1 recently, I couldn't believe my eyes

A lorry was in the inside lane, I was in the middle lane about 100 yards behind him about to pass him doing a steady 75/80 mph on a clear day.

In my peripheral vision I saw a small car parked on the hard shoulder a few hundred yards further on, when out of the blue, he (yes it was a 'he') indicated and pulled straight out into the inside lane, without building up any speed whatsoever.

I slammed on my brakes becauses I could see what was about to happen, the lorry slammed on his brakes and tried to swerve into my lane, and the little car realising his 'mistake' tried to get back onto the hard shoulder, but he was clipped slightly by the lorry.

Luckily we all got away with it, but it will never cease to amaze me how utterly stupid and reckless some drivers can be
Similar. I was driving up the M11, towing a trailer. I noticed the accelerating car on the hard shoulder switch its hazard lights off and guessed it might suddenly pull out. I looked over my shoulder as I hadn't looked in the mirror for a few seconds and didn't trust the blind spot. Sure enough it was in front when my view came frontwards again, and I swerved and passed it. A few minutes later it was behind me - blue lights, unmarked police car. I stopped. Normally I will get out and walk up, but this time I let them come to me.

The driver spoke first "Do you know the speed limit for towing a trailer, sir?"
    "Sixty miles an hour"
"And what speed were you doing?"
    "About sixty-eight, seventy."
"You need to be careful towing; it's very easy to get the trailer swerving and jackknife it."
I prevented myself saying "Is that why you deliberately pulled in front; to force me to slow down?"
"I don't think that was happening"
"Have you towed trailers much, sir?"
    "Quite a bit."

The other officer intervened. "We'll leave it this time, sir, but bear it in mind for the future."
The driver said "When you drive off from here, make sure you accelerate up to full speed before pulling out, as it could be dangerous for people passing you."
I suppressed a burst into laughter.
As they walked away, out of view of his colleague, the non-driver grinned at me, nodded towards the other, and made a gesture that is commonly interpreted to mean w*nker.

What about people on push bikes? Especially them who ride on the road when theres a perfectly good cycle path, and then on the pavement when there isn't.

Then theres the ones who drive at night and have no lights and insist on wearing all black. They have no insurance, yet must cause so many accidents by forcing people to pull out and give them room and in slow moving traffic keep overtaking you then you end up overtaking them about 10 times on the same road....

Its soooo annoying. If theres a cycle path there use it!!!!

    Grrrrrr

This happened to my partner last summer on the M25. He was on his motorbike in the outside lane in extremely heavy traffic. Going about 40mph (speed restrictions) he kept a sensible distance to the car in front. A VW Golf with a complete ****hole for a driver, kept coming up behind him, almost touching him, my partner could see him mouthing obscenities in his mirror. The road widened and there was a gravel path about 8 foot wide to the right of the lane. Youv'e guessed it! This plonker pulls out onto the gravel and accelerates past my partner and cuts him up to pull back in. As they went passed my partner turned and noticed the female passenger with her hands over her eyes.
Luckily this guy hadn't noticed the police car in the slow lane, who pulled out and pulled him up further down the motorway....result!!
