Does anyone know just how much one is charged when calling an 0800/0808 number from a mobile?
AsdaMobile (using EE) can't or won't tell me...
Did you consider asking Asda Mobile via their "Contact Us" facility?
I did that after seeing your post here (around 4PM)Subject: I am on the new Asda Mobile on EE service
Message:
Please confirm the cost to call 0800, 0844, 0845 and 0870 numbers.
They answered me about half an hour ago as follows:Hi Dave,
The standard rate of 8p per minute applies to these numbers.
I hope this helps

You clearly got someone who knew what they were talking about!
I got:
"Thanks for your email about 0800 numbers
I understand that it is important to know what you are being charged for when dialling premium numbers. Sadly we don't have a list of the charges for those types of calls as they can vary dependent on the company you are calling, not only by the prefix of the number you are dialling. They can range between 10p per minute up to £1.50 per minute.
Thank you for your email and I hope you find this information helpful."0 -
No need to use these services after 1/7/2015 to call 0800/0808 numbers as they will be FREE to call, and if your using inclusive minutes to call access numbers mentioned you can save them.0

On all of them Payg and Contract 0800 and 0808 numbers.
See: http://www.ukcalling.info/freephone0 -
While calls to 0800 and 0808 numbers will become free from mobiles on 1 July 2015, it's important to note that this will not apply to calls to 0500 numbers.
Instead, users of 0500 numbers have until 3 June 2017 to move to the matching 0808 5 number. The new number retains the final six digits of the old number. The new number is one digit longer than the old number.
