Seren is lovely and was on my sons name list when his twins were born - but they translated it to the English gave it to her as her THIRD name.
oops - sorry, for non-welsh speakers it means 'Star'!0

I can think of 3 Grace/Gracies within the space of 10 flats in one block on the estate where I used to live, and none of them give the slightest suggestion of Grace Kelly about them.
But the OP loves it, so I tried to give some suggestions that might go. After all, even you say Ava would be fine if you didn't have a Grace with her
Common common common names on the estate I escaped last year:
 Grace
 Caitlin
 Olivia
 Rebecca
 Emily
 Kiera
 Lily
 Poppy
 Chloe
 Mia
 Tia
 Paige
 Jodie
 Kayleigh/Kayley
 Rebecca
 Ashleigh
 Lauren
 Molly
 Milly
 Bethany
 Brooke
 Georgia
 Jade
 .
What a judgemental and mean spirited post!
 Grace is a beautiful name.
My friend has twin girls Grace Anne-Marie and Chloe Elizabeth.0

Nothing, I'm with you there! I think people are quite snobbish when it comes to names. A lot of these are perfectly nice, but just because they are used a lot (due to being nice!), some people think it will make their precious child "common" somehow. Let's face it, if a child is going to be less than extraordinary (god forbid!), a little-used name isn't going to change that.
I like Grace. I also like Emilie, Mia, Mila, Olivia... Lots to chose from!0

Nothing wrong with most of them, there are just an awful lot of children with those names. It just makes me pleased I chose something less popular without being outlandish.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

I slightly prefer Grace aswell; I would probably name a little girl Grace then nickname her Gracie instead. I might worry she wouldn't be taken very seriously in the workforce as a 40 year old Gracie.
As for the other name Eve/Evie is cute, I also like Amelia, Olivia is lovely, you could have something like Patience or Hope (Patience and Grace) though some people might find that silly.
I agree. There are definitely some very cutesy sounding names that work much better on a toddler than an adult. Gracie would make for a very cute baby name, but not so much after that. But I love Grace.
I think Georgia is nice name. And Lucy.0

How ridiculous, if you and your child are common, you're common, no name in the world is going to change that.
But it doesn't take much imagination to choose a name that isn't being chosen by half the mothers in the neighbourhoodAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

I still like Hope and Grace though :rotfl:I wish I would take my own advice!0

One of my DD's has one of the names on your list! It wasn't a ''common'' name when I was pg with her, it has since become more ''common''.
I did have imagination, and the name carries great meaning to myself and my family. Had it been the most common name in the country I would have still chosen it!
You come across in that post as very snooty, not a nice trait.0
