Does it give any code for the communication error?

If you have only just installed the Lexmark software and the spooler is still running then it could be worth trying the software from their website, whether you can stand to uninstall the Lexmark stuff before that is up to you. If you do, try using Revo Free to do it, then run CCleaner scan for issues after that

Hi, There,s something on pc that doesn,t want me to print.
I uninstalled using the uninstaller put on by c/d, and rebooted.
Then I got dialogue box saying hardware found, put c/d in to instal drivers.TO WHAT??
However I did that and it said drivers installed ok. Then it asked for disk again and said drivers couldn,t be installed as they were not digitally signed or signed. Go to LEXI.
The mind boggles, I honestly believed it was solved, but 99% just isn,t good enough is it.
I,ll keep trying and keep looking to see if spoolers are still on.

Tried revo, nothing on to remove. CCleaner, found 180 issues , of which umpteen were spooler related, so I saved backup and fixed all issues as I don,t know 1 from the other, rely on it knowing.
I Had it on ages before I turned pc back.Going to try instal again

Hi santer, just a courtesy update, I,ve tried again using my software. lex,s downloded software, and get the same + different errorsfor not working, drivers not on, no interface detected, certain connot be located, etc.
You must be as fed up as me, all the hard work you did, only for something else to occur.
I did say Thee errors were coming up before spooel off arose.
hat I,m going to do is leave be a day or 2 and borrow my daughters pc, she,s off to spain, and try putiing it on hers,
see what result I get.Thanks again for everything, I owe you:beer:

Maybe the Lexmark software stops the spooler during the install and does not restart it. You should be able to reset it the same way as before.

See how it installs on another PC

If it gives any errors, post those

Will do, the spoolers were still on last time I looked.Sent another e-mail to Lex, don,t expect too much though; There,s a missing link somewhere that,s not installing. Confused as to how it tells me the ink I have installed, 26 colour 16 black, always had 26 large black;;, they sent the wrong one (small) , yet cannot do a test print because it,s not comunicating with the printer. It must be to detect what ink are installed. I will keep you posted:beer:

I contacted Lexmark america, which was the one on the download, had a chat with him, he gave me uk phone number, was about to ring, but decided to try lex.co.uk, got on the chatline, ans a very nice Guen supplied me with removal tool, + new download, did everything that I, d done umpteen times, and Walla. SUCCESS. I can only assume there was some residue of old instal that their removal tool remedied. He/She, don,t know, was on ages, very, very helpful. like yourself. All that,s left to say is Thankyou once again for all your effort, I am truly grateful. If you were local Leeds, I would buy you a pint, even though I have given up drinking. Nearly succumbed and went for 1.:beer::beer::beer:

Hi, Yes, that,s why I gave up. Guinness drinker.pricey. Thought I was a little hasty, went to print daughters boarding cards off ryanair, and it failed.I re-booted and it started , finished them ok, even before pc had rebooted completely. Spooler still on, I thought it had gone off. If a doc is pending on this, I cannot delete it without rebooting, used to happen regularly. That,s spooler related according to Lex,s e-mail, a common fault. In his e-mail he gave another way of deleting pending doc using keyboard , but lost e-mail went I replied to him. :beer:
