Virtual tours are a waste of time and money, in my view, and don't, for the size of home you have, tell the viewer anything more than a decent set of photographs.

You can download floor planning software off t'internut for nothing, or buy a package off the shelf in PC World for £19.99, and buy a measuring tape in B&Q for a couple of quid, so how do they arrive at £94 plus VAT to do one floorplan?
  • To be honest, it sounds like it's time to change Estate Agents. Mine has been up for sale for 3 weeks and I'm already pushing my EA:o

You're possibly being too patient, & to pay for floor plans? Thought they came as standard. Maybe just my area (East).

Really feel for you. It's a difficult time to be selling a house. They ARE still selling though, so fingers crossed for us both:)

then a further £200 to change agents in November, which I'm very tempted to do if the lack of viewers continues.

Not the agent. Its the market. If the property is on Rightmove then its getting exposure. People will view what they wish to.

I had no viewers for the first 2 months then someone last week who is coming back this week for a second viewing and a new viewer also coming back this week. They kept telling me at the EA that it is a slow time of year and to be patient. Patient I aint!

When there's others who have been on the market for months, years even - why do you expect everything to happen in your first three weeks?

Where did I say that I expected everything to happen within 3 weeks? I admitted that I'm being proactive with my agent after 3 weeks.

    Not the same thing.
  • I've had a look through the first three pages of properties in my area on Rightmove and none have a floorplan, including ones with other agents. While there is an argument for having one in order to stand out, I don't think I can justify the expense.

You said you were 'pushing' your EA, which... implies, shall we say, that you were expecting something to happen in the first three weeks.

Why are you pushing the EA?

I think that the only actual 'pushing' going on here is by you. You won't get a rise out of me..........however hard you try:j

I think that depends on the area. In my area some properties are selling on their first weekend of viewing. Therefore, if I put my property on the market and didn't have any interest in the first 3 weeks i'd be wondering what was up.
