  • Hi TheLoft
Thanks for the reply. Sorry to be so thick, but I do not understand the £5 loading bit. I have filled all the relevant details in on the site and although I haven't yet proceeded to the checkout, it says I will owe them £19.99 with free delivery. Am I right in assuming it will come with £10 airtime, then a further £10 say in Feb and one in March. You will probably understand when I say I am not 'technical' Oh for a younger brain!!!! sally

TBH, I'm not sure whether you automatically get the first £10 or whether you have to do the minimum top up of £5, but my suggestion would be to ring them and ask. Also don't forgot to go through Quidco for your £5.
  • Hello.

Whenever i'm buying a new phone I use the following site to see what phones have the features i'm looking for. Use it to help choose between all the good offers above...

  • Not a PAYG but a free phone on free contract.

E2Save (part of Carphone Warehouse) are offering some clearance lines absolutely free. The phone is free, and via cash-back redemption, the contract is also free.

There is a deal for a Motorola L6 on 12 month Virgin contract. The contract includes 50 minutes airtime plus 100 texts. The contract will cost £240 over 12 months all of which can be reclaimed.

I use E2Save and can confirm that they are easy to deal with and do honour cash-back redemption offers.

Follow these tips to make the deal work for you:

    1. Don't forget to make cash back claims (4 claims in 12 months on this deal)
    2. Do cancel the insurance (they throw in free insurance but it is expensive after the free period).
    3. Do cancel the contract in advance of the end of the 12 month contract period (you can not claim cash-back redemptions after the primary contract period).

E2Save kindly offer existing customers a £20 kick-back for introducing new customers. If you want two phones and £20 cash; order one phone, introduce a friend and get them to order the second. I would give my kick-back link and donate the cash to Battersea but there is some clever stuff running on the site that stops me from pasting it in!

    E2Save's web address is: http://www.e2save.com/

Sally, You pay £19.99 for the phone with NO airtime included!! You have to load it with a minimum of £5 to start off with, just phone Virgin with the phone number they provide (use the phone). Have your credit card handy and load it with £5 (or more if you will use more than £5 in the first month). Then you will get £10 of airtime free from Virgin at the end of the first month, and the next and so on until you have the £30 worth !!.

    Hi all,

can u plz telll whether Alcatel OT-E205 can be unlocked or not?
  • Hi,
A very big thank you to Roadhog and Theloft. I've pressed the 'thanks' buttons as well! I hope I've done things correctly, i.e. joined Quidco amd bought through them by clicking their 'buy through this retailer by clicking here' or similar so hopefully the £5 will find me at some point. (by the way, how is this money paid) I've also had the email confirmation/receipt saying the phone will be delivered within 3 -7 business days so hopefully alls well. Thanks again fro your help. Regards - sally.

    Hello,

If you are a telewest customer you can get PAYG mobile for £10 a month which includes 300 texts and 300 mins. If you have all 3 services you can get a nokia 1112 for just £2.95 postage charge. The 3 services are tv, phone and internet.:money: It is on the virgin network.

Very interesting thread, thanks. I'm thinking of buying, as Sally has, a Nokia 1112 on Virgin tariff. I hardly use a mobile & my Philips mobile on O2 tariff has given up , will NOT charge ! I really want one I can have unlocked eventually either to use with an O2 SIM card or just so I can put a Spanish SIM card in (we live there a few weeks annually.) This rather seems too good to miss out on. I hope I'm doing the right thing if I go ahead. I've conned hubby into putting my O2 SIM card into his O2 phone , another Nokia, when his £3 odd credit runs out seeing as I still have over £15 on mine !
