:rotfl::rotfl:It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0 -
I know this sort of thing can happen in any workplace where people don't get along/bullying/organisations not really acting appropriately, but this really concerns me. From what I'm piecing together (and it's a shame you've removed the posts, OP, as there isn't as much to go on), there are several situations which have seem to have occurred which as a mother about to put her baby into nursery causes me great concern.
OP, if these things have truly occurred and you don't think your employers have acted honestly or appropriately, you are duty bound to complain to either your senior management and/or Ofsted. If this really has occurred then you owe this to the children in your care and their parents who put them there in good faith.0 -

I can imagine its very stressful for you to return to work and leave your little one in childcare. I have worked in a couple of nurserys when I was younger and have honestly never encountered a situation like this. I have seen situations where individual staff have behaved inappropriately infront of the children although NOT in a harmful or upsetting manner, but still the situations were dealt with efficiently, on one occassion a staff member was dismissed.
It is very unusual for colleagues to tolerate this sort of thing, and anyone working with children should know how to make a complaint to OFSTED should they be getting nowhere with their manager, and generally this seems to be whats happening. Thats why I think OP is getting a bit of stick here, she seems to be only concerned for herself, and not the vulnerable children in her care.
That being said, I would take this post with a pinch of salt. If possible ask for recommendations from other parents, and when you visit, try and gauge the atmosphere, and how the staff interact with the children.
Good luck xxx0 -
Miss Duke, you are so kind, thank you for your reassurance. You're right, it's not made me feel any better about leaving my little one in someone else's hands but you're also right that this must be rare. Thank you for taking the time to write to me. xx0
