its good to see there are decent people out there
ive heard its because of the store targets is the reason for refusal but then ive also heard its claimable from head office if a national glitch0 -
Sometimes I'm surprised Tesco haven't pulled their DTD policy when people seem to go into Tesco purely to come out with a massive profit - I understand the policy's use for genuine mistakes but alot of people seem to take advantage of it.
i love DTD its a nice little surprise every now and then and if i see something on here i might try and get one but some people take the P... on monday i was behind a woman at the CS desk waiting to get clubcard points added to my card... she was asian and spoke quite poor english and was trying to explain that the EIGHT toys she had bought were priced at £3 something and she had been charged £24 each and that she would like DTD! she hadnt bought anything else she even knew off the top of her head like somekind of maths genius the exact over charge and the ammount she should get back... then they called the manager i couldnt be bothered to wait and left but people who do that do cause problems x0 -

i can see where your coming from but its there policy not ours if someone wants 50 toys tesco should honour it as its there policy or alter it0 -

Blimey! That's my point in a nutshell, Tesco aren't overpricing people like that, they are taking the p*ss out of Tesco! Deliberately overcharging themselves when they know the price for their own gain...0 -

I agree, however how long have Tesco had to sort the glitch? They have known about this since the weekend, yet it still goes on!
Buying the toys and straight out asking for the DTD is a bit brazen, but there is not much Tesco can do except correct the error, or as many others have found, have the £24.99 SEL on the shelf.
I have posted in this thread before about Tesco and the scale of their operation: Tesco turnover is the same size as the Economy of Bangladesh - 150 million people. The profits they make are the equivalent of the Economy of Mongolia.
a few quid DTD is hardly scratching the surface.
Lets think about the people who do get overcharged and don't spot it and how much money this makes Tesco.
If my (and probably yours too) family run corner shop can have everything they sell priced correctly, you would expect that an organisation the size of Tesco to be able too!0 -

I don't doubt for a second that she got it! Sometimes if you are out and out bold about things they just sort them out for you, no toing and froing from the manager who doesn't want to pay dtd, they just get on with it because they know that the person will fight tooth and nail.0
