I got 6 of these yesterday sel said £5.49 manager said they had sorted it the day before because they had wrong code on them told them not my problem and asked to phone customer services at head office he suddenly said i could have DTD great one:T

Well done:j but I have to ask how did you explain not noticing such a huge overcharge when paying at the till or did they not bother?
For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.

From what I remember, if the barcode on the product does not match the tiny printed barcode on the SEL but the description of the item matches the product you MAY get DTD depending on which CS you get. If there is a matching barcode on the SEL next to it with a different description it is unlikely to result in the DTD as the barcode shown matches the correct priced SEL. Only if small printed barcode on lower priced SEL matches barcode on higher priced item SHOULD give you DTD without too much hassle.

I think you should reread post 222 and the type of abuse received before you wade in. The OP reread it and realised his initial assessment was wrong and has retracted it.

As regards my posts on this item - I answered queries that people on the forum had asked in a factual manner based on experience. I call this helpful.

As regards the PM - to base an attack on me on your "Guess" as to the contents of a "Private message" is not worthy of a comment.

I have actually been here on this board longer than you and have changed my email and mislaid my password (and with the email account closed have no way to retrieve it ) - hence the new account.

I am always polite on forums and never abusive - after reading 222 again I trust you realise that there was no need for your lecture.

:money:Martin has moderators so unless you are one - it is probably best left to them.:money:

Trust this is the end of this,
    Love Sue x

    Sue,

There was every need for my post.

You still come across as arrogant.

If you read my post you will see that I have apologised in advance if you did not request details of the massive DTD in a PM, but warned you that people would think that is what you have done seeing as you advertise sending a PM.

Maybe you would like to clear your name and confirm you didn't?

I couldn't care less how long you have been using MSE, the point is that you have "arrived" on this thread acting like a bit of a know it all, albeit answering questions. Your response to someone not knowing what OJ means (not Orange Juice, if you haven't read the earlier post) was patronising and uncalled for. It was clearly a misunderstanding, so maybe a PM to them to sort would have been better?

Having a low post count is not something I usually notice, but if you are going to act like you have, acting like an authority on the forum this is something people will notice.

Of course, you could always put in your signature your old user name so people will not get confused.........

And this board is not Moderated, action is only taken on reported posts, it tends to be self moderated, with users expressing their feelings about posts directly to stop issues getting to a stage where they get nasty.

So I trust that will be the end of this.

Is there a glitch on orange juice?
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

    hi all

a good result of £294 overcharge being refunded but its either a gift card or cheque but gift card 2-4 days or cheque 2-4 weeks

but i still waiting to see what there going to do about the manager ripping sel in my face
  • Well done:j but I have to ask how did you explain not noticing such a huge overcharge when paying at the till or did they not bother?

Hi I had did a big shop with small tv and telephones I said I thought I had got the price of one of them wrong (of course I had not) but it worked:T
  • I got this yesterday at fort kinnaird and to my utter shock the cs was so nice i never even had to ask for dtd so i just played dumb as she described the policy to me and sincerely apologised. was really nice not to be faced with a trout. only thing is the manager beside her took SEL and said he was going to take them off shelf while he ammends the glitch.
