Candygirl......Congratulations :T I love the name but hope he doesn't live up to the TV show :D:p
I hope you have a good time at the wedding and manage to upstage SILx
I have a SIL and a sister who are like that they are stuck so far up there own @rses it is untrueand they look down on us as the poor relations, so we luckily don't have a lot to do with either of them, which is a shame cos both BIL's and the nieces and nephews are lovely. My sister will cross the road rather than have to talk to me
Luckily I have one sister who I am very close too (and that is not the one that came over from America) she is my baby sis and the only one in my family who I keep in touch with really.
Redruby I hope your Dad is improving and can come home soon x
I can't wait for tonight's Dr Who it looks well creepy.
DH has just gone up the tip and took the hamster cage with him - I couldn't bear to have it in the house.:( When the rabbit (7½ yrs old now) passes on we have agreed not to have any more pets.
Well I am off to do some housework.
((((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))) to Lou, bramble, redruby for Dad, and anyone else who needs one xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hugs to you Butterfly. I too have made that decision but one of our guinea pigs has had three furry friends despite only having one eye. She is ancient now and each time one of her mates dies we feel so sorry for her we have to get a replacement and then fall in love all over again and so the cycle continues ....

So many people going through a hard time just now, wish I could give you all a hug and do something to help. How lovely all the people here are, how lucky we are to have each other!
BB: So, no more pets eh? Good luck with that one then. I've lost count of how many times my breaking heart has uttered those very words. I actually find that you never need to go out looking for pets, if they need you they will find you. I love the quote, (did I see it on here?) "To the world you are just one more rescue person. To a rescued pet, you are the world."
Candy: Wow! Congratulations to all. Hope you are remembering the drill at the wedding - cool,(icy if you like) and superior. Wish I was a fly on the wall!
Molly: What a wonderful idea. I'd have to clean my oven first so that anyone else could see where the shelves were. I put one of those disposable liners in the bottom some aeons ago and I think that it is permanently welded to the floor of the oven by now.
OSwise I am spending the day cooking for the Harvest supper on Monday. The fridge is full, the freezer is full, the oven is doing its stuff, (I know that by the clouds of blue smoke in the kitchen,) and I am having a breather.
Have a lovely weekend if you can everybody.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Afternoon all!
Not been on here much the last few days, my ears been driving me nuts, Wed and Thurs night I only managed an hours sleep each night so was like a zombie at work and just collapsed on the sofa when I got home. I was up until 4ish this morning with the pain but finally got to sleep and woke up at 10.30!! A good lie in for me is 9 so I couldn't believe the time I woke up, must have needed the sleep.
Being very lazy today, still not dressedbut going to get ready once I've updated on here as we have a meeting with the wedding venue to go through a few details in a couple of hours. I think the wedding co-ordinators going to be in for a shock though, I have a list of questions for him!
Got a busy week ahead, meeting with the florist on Tuesday, got someone from a local animal rescue coming on Thursday to do a home check as I'm hoping to foster guinea pigs for them. I absolutely love guinea pigs, have 5 of my own and rescued a couple myself and rehomed them. Friday is my hen night, the theme is "flappers" so I got myself a lovely black beaded dress off ebay for £15, it weighs a tonne! We're also having a baking day at work to raise money for charity so I need to do some baking tomorrow.
Welcome to the world Dexter ( love that name! ), hugs to those who need them.
Take Care all
LP xGoing to get to grips with food shopping again, starting February!
Got married to my lovely hubby on 12/11/2011
