Congratulations to Candy Girl and her family on the birth of baby Dexter:T:T:T He was a very good weight - no wonder she needed acupuncture
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Good Morning All

    Morning all
Big hugs to all those in need.
I've not long arrived home from Birmingham (very long story, no trains etc) but last night I went to see Dolly Parton, she was fantastic, my feet are killing me & my throat is raw from singing.
I'm looking after the DGC in an hour, so I'm off for yet anothe cuppa!
OS today (you'll be bl00dy lucky) I do have a huge bag of apples I need to make into something.
    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning my lovelies :D

Quick one from me, I am about to go and dance infront of the telly like a loon doing Just Dance :o Meh this exercise lark is too much hard work :o

Plans for today I think will be taking down large computer table in DS's room. It's not used, has a slower than a slow thing PC on it which NEVER gets used so suggested to H that it could go in the loft for now and maybe sell the table. My mum has a bean bag she keeps trying to offload on me and this might be quite nice to go in DS's room instead.

Dull and cloudy here but no rain so that's a good thing. Final load of holiday washing on the line drying and H has done the majority of the ironing too :T gotta love that man sometimes ;)

Not sure what's for tea, probably do pizza for the kids. Am contemplating buying the Takeaway Secret......but I need to remember I am aiming for some NSD in September........b*gger :rotfl: Perhaps I'll see if local library has it :money:

Hugs for Bramble, Lou and Butterfly xxxxx

Hugs and spoons to everyone else too :) Have a great Saturday OS or not.

PS forgot to say congrats to Candy on the arrival of baby Dexter and have fun tonight ;)

Decided to give the oven a good clean last night for some strange reason:D and also did a bit of decluttering. The garden sheds are next in line for a good turf out!
Have had a quick clean through. Got to do some ironing this morning before work.

Not a lot else will be going on here OS wise this weekend due to work.

Have a great weekend all x
    Do what you love :happyhear

It's boiling here, got a fair bit done in the front garden yesterday, need to finish off in a bit. I live in a 1950's council house and the gardens are massive. Late on here today, didn't sleep too well last night and then woke at 8.40. Not sure about tea tonight, possible tuna pasta, something simple anyway seeing as I will be in the garden. Glad to say I now have red tomatoes :j.

BRAMBLE hope your Grandad is ok, sending positive vibes.
BUTTERFLY sorry to hear of your loss
LOU MIND are a very good starting point, they have a helpline and will be able to point you in the direction of support groups and give you information. Sorry services are so crap in your area, as a psychiatric nurse makes me feel so frustrated. You can PM me anytime hun.

    CANDYGIRL congratulations

Well this won't get jobs done. Hugs to anyone who wants one. Have a good day all.

Don't seem to have had two minutes to post this week but have been trying to read each day. Back at school (coming into the 4th week) and everything seems to be fine but working quite a lot of evening shifts at the other job which is quite tiring!

Congratulations CG, hope all's well. Enjoy the wedding tonight!

Hugs to all, especially Lou, Bramble and Butterfly Brain - thought our hamster was fading earlier in the week but she's up and about now and full of beans. It doesn't matter how small a creature is, if you have looked after and loved it it will be a sad loss.

Down to one car this week, DS2 has borrowed mine to help move someone to London (they have paid all the expenses). He will call at his Gran and Grandads in Sheffield on the way back (probably today) - it's the only way he can afford to go at the moment. DD has been really good at not having her car all the time but of course I had to have it yesterday when it got a puncture when I was on my way to work! That was £50 gone as it was a new tyre needed.

Had a bad day on Tuesday, one of the girls I work with got her finger trapped in a classroom door and it chopped the end right off. I was asked to take her to the hospital (with someone else) and ended up feeling quite queasy myself for the rest of the day. Poor girl was understandably hysterical and the school has been crawling with H&S folk ever since. As she herself said thank goodness it wasn't a child.

Housework fairly up to date, have baked millies and cupcakes this morning for the duck race tomorrow - it has been cancelled twice as the river was too high and it has been pouring all night again, can't see it going ahead somehow!

Had blinds fitted to the back of the house, love the living room one but hate the hall. Not sure what to do next as they cost a fortune!

Anyway, hope your weekends are good and you are all well. Will try harder next week! Take care. XX
  • something not nice is happening in the dock outside my flat at moment. It's like WW3 out there - police, helicopters, ambulance, firemen, coastguard, boats, divers :s They been there for an hour or so, looks like they are searching for a body :(
