What would you do about making gravy with the juices?
My first SC chicken and I've had it in about 5 hours now on high and its produced a lot of juice - put it in with carrots, celery, onion and a half lemon inside the chicken - how would I turn these juices into gravy? I know how from a roast but I expect this would be different0 -
As title says please
:o
Ive never cooked one before never mind in the slow cooker :rotfl:0 -
If it will physically fit in - yes
If not... no

Hi, yes you can as long as it fits. Put it in upside down and I do it on low all day, it will just fall to pieces so be careful when you are getting it out - but it is a great way to cook it x0

I add a tiny amount of wine or water as my slow cooker won't turn on if dry. Only a small amount though as there will be loads of liquid as the chicken cooks.
It's a lovely way to cook chicken - really juicy. You don't get cripsy skin though.0 -

If you have room in the slow cooker, then put in an onion or two and couple of carrots roughly chopped too. That way you get an all in one meal.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0

Your manual should tell you the maximum weight of meat your SC will cope with.0
