TESCO Silly Price Electrical Items

Because most of the time I'm not just buying that particular item...I buy lots from Mr T...i go food shopping there 3 times a week...1 big shop and 2 'fresh stuff' shops...and am quite often with 1 or 2 fractious toddlers....so to be honest a lot of the time I dont even look at how much the bill is..i'mtoo busy packing bags and thinking about what we're all having for dinner!
Thanks on the phone front and re the toddler bit, me too! Though I'm always thinking about what's for dinner in any situation, generally as I'm having a rubbish last couple of months of pregnancy and everything either gives me heartburn or makes makes me sick.
To be honest, I don't think I've ever heard or seen how much my bill is for since having children. Mostly it's as though your head will explode whilst shopping as they are always bored and want to get out and walk (or rather run off!).
I've never been questioned about double the difference. I think they generally realise that most people don't check their receipts so Tesco have probably benefitted from them and people who are pulling their hair out at the till with youngsters are unlikely to hear anything the SA is saying let alone what they are putting their pin in for!I have to say though, since reading this forum, I am far more conscious of checking my receipt and using coupons/vouchers. I've saved so much (and spent a small fortune on grabbits as they are addictive!) so would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have and will contribute. Met some great people too both vertually and actually.0 -
Has anyone had any recent luck in the Midlands for laptops? (N0rth@mpt0nshir3/W@rwickshir3/C0v3ntry)
I've trawled round and phoned a dozen or so stores to no luck. Most staff have been very friendly on the plus side but even after daily trips I've come up empty. Currently resigning myself to a long time saving for a decent laptop if I can't find one!0 -
Maddysmam, I'm a H*ll bargain hunter too- I'm forever looking shifty! I work in the centre, so have speant all of my lunch breaks there for the last week and a half! I've been keeping my eye out for the carpet cleaner you mentioned, but no joy yet
but I did get an Ebony toaster for £3 on friday! Last one on shelf. I've found a Karcher doodah for £49 from £102, but thats too much for me to spend on it!
On an aside, has anyone had any luck with microwaves?0 -

Yay it's not only me then
Darn it you beat me to that toaster - dunno how I practically live there!!
Went in this morning and spotted an mp4 player for £13 but just a Technika with no headphones but seems ok. The SA said 'are you here again?' Then when we got to the till he declared I was their biggest customer this week so being on the curvy side I quipped 'hope you don't mean literally the biggest' and he said 'nooo but you're the only one with any money'. As it was in front of a big queue it made me cringe a bit to be honest. God if I really am their biggest customer they must be in real trouble that's all I can say:p
What's all this about microwaves? Have I missed something?
Which Karcher do-da was it? I thought I'd scanned the lot hehe0 -

Yes it did Thanks. I deleted my messages by mistake and couldn't remember who sent it. I haven't managed to use it yet still hoping to find a store with the cheap ones in. If I can't find any by the last week were going to buy a full price one so I'll use it then.
