  • Thanks to everyone posting all their finds I picked up my first electrical bargains last night. Went looking for toys without much luck but found babyliss pro230 straighteners for £5.10 and a babyliss curling wand for £3. They were hidden at the back of the shelf with no sel.

now I just have to decide whether they go in the present pot or stay with me!

Had a good look but we never get these silly prices in 'our' Mr T's.

D'you know what? If by some miracle of clever shopping and good luck I happened to have a spare cheapy new laptop (I don't), given how many people have been asking the above question in this marathon thread, I'd probably ask for people to pm me with private offers for it and give anything over what it cost me to a worthy charity.

In fact, wouldn't it be a nice gesture if the Tesco staff who have been cherry-picking the best bargains had an attack of conscience and actually had some sort of staff raffle for a few of the reduced items and made a charitable donation?

I know, I'm living in cloud cuckoo land.

    You never know :rotfl:

It's for a good cause (my 10 year old who has severe autism).

He's already got a desktop but a laptop would be useful for journeys and can't really justify paying full price ;).

    thank you

Tresco own brand and Morphy Richards. Our Mr T's only stock those anyway.

Have you tried applying to the Family Fund.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!
