A badly run and managed company that made millions upon millions last year!!!

Image what they could do if they were run well.

I for one am glad they are not as my Christmas shopping is coming on nicely thanks to recent price drops and glitches.

With the capitalisation they have the returns are pathetic, around 5% profit .. and this in a British oligopolistic context , worse is what's around the corner for Tesco... Losses in US, silly shops in Turkey.
Another Lehman in the making too 'profitable and big' until 0 hour :) (I would short this company in 5-10 years it will be toast)

I guess if you had loads of money some bank accounts can give you more than 5% return.

If you like barbie dolls for your christmas stockings you may be gratefull to Tesco, or if you are an employee and can skim the good things ...

    I shop ASDA. :D

good luck to all who got what they wanted, and those who got something for the sake of getting it well gd luk. The only thing that comes to my mind is when people give these as gifts presies and the person recieving it knows you got it well cheap at mr t's lolz.

I just feel bad wearing my px100 headphones that I paid £28.00 for, people must think I only paid 5.00 :( thats so unfair.

Just started catching up with the thread since this afternoon but can someone just answer a quick question? What is the Braun Epi-Silk 3 scanning for? I only ask because I saw this one and Braun Epi-Silk 5 in my local but as they don't have a self scanner, (and I'd already been backwards and forwards about 5 times to CS scanning toys) I didn't get them price checked :(

    TIA
They scan at £7.50 for the 5 series but its only the ones in the old packaging which you cant see the epliator, the new ones have a clear plastic front

I got the silk-epil 3 today the SEL was £44.??, it scanned at £4.08. It was as bargainhuntergill said the old packaging, the barcode for the one I got is 4210201651154

    Also found a 60p (£24.97 SEL) Lindam soft folding bed rail b/c 5019090443890 and a Tesco universal TV/coffee table for £1 b/c 5052109607821

woop woop...just back from my 4th Mr T visit of the day.....not a great deal in the C8rlton and N8therfield N*tts stores....however in T*Ton, I managed to get another Panasonic triple phone set for SEL £150...sticker on £70...scanned at £150...AND a Canon all in one wireless printer SEL £80, marked at £40.......altogether DTD of £240!!!! I also got 2 more Tresemme £2.60 hairdryers as presents and a few little bits and bobs of toys....but used 2 of the morrisons vouchers and a tescos voucher...so my bill was only £225 anyway!!!

However...although they didnt quibble about giving me the DTD...for some reason in MR T stores my debit card wont accept refunds (it does in other shops)...so spent 50minutes arguing about getting refund as they wouldnt give me cash - they wanted to give me store vouchers!!! Anyway...long story short....they gave in and gave me cash but told me as I now know my card wont accept a refund in Mr T,then they will not give me cash as a refund again if I used my card, they will only give me vouchers!!! TBH...happy with that, theres a cashpoint outside so I'lljust use cash in future..wish I'd done it tonight, wouldve saved me an hour!!! Then went to B*eston where i got the epilator for £4.04 .....all in all a good day!

Yea but there's perks and plain greed, sorry but even shop floor staff at our store were annoyed when in spoke to a few as managers cleared most of it, huge crates I got told managers had off,
They get paid enough as it is poor floor staff never got a look in and one told me she asked for a barbie to bf put away , managers said no and as she left same manager had them in boot of the car loaded with everything else

I've been following this thread for days now, as I have had a few bargains too...
But the way you shout down the staff really gets to me. I work in retail, and I'm sure the staff and managers are as hard up (or so you say) as you are. You say they are greedy...have you actually READ the posts some people have put up on here? 8 of this, 10 of that...if thats not greed, I'm not sure what is.
As someone posted earlier, retail work really IS a thankless job, and the comments you, and many like you, make it less worthwhile!!

I've just bought the 3 version (the older version with no clear plastic front) for £4.04 ....think its just the ones without the plastic front..ie you cant see the product inside, that are scanning cheap!
