Bit of a "vent" post here. Bought one of these earlier from Risca Extra for £2.20. Got it out of the box, assembled according to instructions, fixed to windscreen, attempted to carefully adjust position like you would with any sat nav/phone holder (as I have done many times previously with many different ones) - then it snapped in half at the end of the arm.

woop woop...just back from my 4th Mr T visit of the day.....not a great deal in the C8rlton and N8therfield N*tts stores....however in T*Ton, I managed to get another Panasonic triple phone set for SEL £150...sticker on £70...scanned at £150...AND a Canon all in one wireless printer SEL £80, marked at £40.......altogether DTD of £240!!!! I also got 2 more Tresemme £2.60 hairdryers as presents and a few little bits and bobs of toys....but used 2 of the morrisons vouchers and a tescos voucher...so my bill was only £225 anyway!!!

However...although they didnt quibble about giving me the DTD...for some reason in MR T stores my debit card wont accept refunds (it does in other shops)...so spent 50minutes arguing about getting refund as they wouldnt give me cash - they wanted to give me store vouchers!!! Anyway...long story short....they gave in and gave me cash but told me as I now know my card wont accept a refund in Mr T,then they will not give me cash as a refund again if I used my card, they will only give me vouchers!!! TBH...happy with that, theres a cashpoint outside so I'lljust use cash in future..wish I'd done it tonight, wouldve saved me an hour!!! Then went to B*eston where i got the epilator for £4.04 .....all in all a good day!

    Oooh!
    Was it this phone - http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.208-7503.aspx ?

Sorted a Binaphone Quad for my parents but we need a triple one and this is the one I'd been dreaming of.

Hmm can't see why those are that price. The 8523EB is the better model http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.208-2682.aspx and cheaper. But suppose if DTD is included then the other's better, lol. Yet another peculiarity is the quad version of the above http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.208-4051.aspx is the same price as the triple.

    altogether DTD of £240!!!!
Never done the DTD thing, guess I've always kind of seen it as abusing the system and taking advantage. But with my recent experience of their customer service (or lack, thereof) I feel it may be worthwhile taking advantage of their laziness and inability to update the labels on the shelf. Is it just as easy as buy item, surprise surprise SEL says half the price you paid, go to CS and they give DTD - or do you often have to demand it?

I'm amazed Mr T's still doing DTD in this situation. Don't the customer services ever say to you - 'why didn't you query the amount before handing over your cash/debit card when it was obviously wrong'.
I say obviously is this instance as it was a large amount not the odd grocery £1 overcharge.

My answer would always be I thought I had misread the SEL, but I hadn't it was your system that's wrong

Thank you, I don't suppose you want to swap jobs for Monday, I would gladly work in Mr.Ts on Monday and you can take my class of 9 year olds.

I have never been queried, if I was I would just say that I thought I must have made a mistake but when I double checked the ticket after paying I was right. Got 6 DVDs yesterday, 4 in one store 2 in another - they have put the Disney DVDs up to more than double their usual price in the bogof offer but have missed some old SELs and paid me £1 to take them away, happy days.

Was this an out of date SEL, is it possible to have the model number? Thanks
