Feel like I'm the only bargain-hunter in H*ll LOL. Not seen any finds from anyone else in my area nor seen any fellow shifty oops I mean thrifty shoppers. The staff in there think I'm a weirdo and I'm beginning to feel ashamed to show my face.

Today got a Tom Tom each (me & my mum). Was a bit fed up cos I waited for about 2 hrs for my mum to turn up with her Tom Tom £20 off voucher and the staff would not let us use it. Said it was only for brand new stock which is fair enough except I have seen more than once on this thread that folks have used theirs. As I posted earlier there were a few sat navs they were feeding into the clearance cabinet. The manager was great - he alerted me to them and gave me first choice so no complaints there - he's a great guy. Wish he'd been that forthcoming with the laptops though - ah well.

I would be phoning CS and complaining about not being able to use the £20 off ANY TomTom coupon. RING!! or email lol

Why is there no sale/trade forum on mse to free up threads for posting genuine finds and provide a little buyer/seller protection?
I believe sellng and trading on MSE forums is against the rules http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/forum-faqs#giving There was one instance a while ago of someone offering to sell a "bargain" and I think a few people eager for a bargain rushed to PM and subsequently send money to them. They took the money for the item, and no such items were received - so scams can and have happened previously.

Thank you. Thought that might be the case. Shame it's not being policed a little better then!

Just started catching up with the thread since this afternoon but can someone just answer a quick question? What is the Braun Epi-Silk 3 scanning for? I only ask because I saw this one and Braun Epi-Silk 5 in my local but as they don't have a self scanner, (and I'd already been backwards and forwards about 5 times to CS scanning toys) I didn't get them price checked :(

    TIA
If at first you don't succeed ........ ;) Alternative autism therapies should be free!!

They scan at £7.50 for the 5 series but its only the ones in the old packaging which you cant see the epliator, the new ones have a clear plastic front

I'm not a 'clear the shelf and stuff everybody else' kind of person BUT I make no apologies whatsoever for buying several of an item if there's plenty available - I have family members who need stuff. Some I give as pressies, some I keep, some I lay out the cash for for my family. I have alerted staff and other customers to bargains and posted tip-offs on this thread. But if I ended up with a surplus item and decided to flog it at God Forbid a small profit then as the item actually belongs to me as I bought it I won't be visiting the confessional box anytime soon over it. Sorry if that offends some but I am sure in the scheme of things no-one gives a monkey really. Some people on this forum act like they are going for a sainthood - get real. We all love a bargain and that's why we are all poking our nose in the Grabbit board isn't it? :) At least I don't beg for stuff on here - I mean for goodness sake who on earth in their right mind would give up a bargain laptop? If I had got one which I didn't there would be a rugby scrum in my family - sorry but MMsers would not get a look in:rotfl:

    Saucer of milk, love.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!
