I went to Mr T tonight hunting for some more bargain. We found some stuff, but we had to check a lot. After we paid, the security man caught us and said we are not allowed to get into the store any more, and what else we are not allowed to get into any Mr T store, because they keep a record, and if the camera see us they call the police and we will be arrested for trespass. I asked why, and he said they know I go to Mr T often and checking the prices to get DTD. I had 2-3 DTD all together, one of them was a bigger DTD in that store, but I didn't go for it, I went to find cheap electrical items. My husband said they can't do it, but I don't know. Can they?

I can sympathise with you because it happended to me back in the days of Refund and Replace. (R&R). I was banned from my local store. I tried to go back in a couple of times afterwards but was spotted and told to leave each time after heated debates. Like you I had done nothing wrong, they simply didnt like what I was doing!. As someone said earlier, give it time and new managers / security etc and they wont bother u. If you have to goto a Mr T's find another one in the meantime.

If they are out on the shop floor, just like any ordinary products then yes. Which will be most Small Domestic Appliances, health and beauty electrical items and possibly some securely boxed up cameras. Most extra stores will have some TV's tagged and out on the shop floor as well.

Night Staff shouldnt access any items locked up elsewhere and you'll have to wait until the Electrical Desk opens to access these.

Just like to say thankyou for your input/clarification, over a fair few points this evening.

  • Ok, I don't go there in the next couple of month, but they said I'm banned from all of the T stores (however they didn't tell all of the Uk ones,or all of the world :) ) The duty manager was there in the close, but he just kept his eyes on us, and didn't tell anything.
  • H, this is my first post. I managed to get a flip camcoder for £20, dell netbook for £99.00 and a HP laptop for £134.00. I used the self scanners and everything I scanned showed at the normal prices but when I asked the checkout staff to scan them they came u at the above reduced items. Just thought I would share this with everyone. Good luck with your bargain hunting !!
  • SHAZYBIZZLE -You take the Shelf edge label to the self scan machine in the next aisle. If you find any bargains let me know - I'm going there tomorrow. :)

They didn't know about the emachines/toshiba netbooks then obviously. Best way is to take the slips (which you're meant to take to electrical desk) to the price checker.
Wanted a job, now have one.
