Sorry, My team are good at sales and actioning discontinued so our laptops are never around long enough to go down to the silly prices and I put all my disc cameras & satnavs out 2 weeks ago last saturday and they all went in just under 3 hours. People were buying 6 things at as time, I swear it was like flies round Sh*t.

sorry also posted on toy thread by mistake just getting used to the site please bear with me lol

    What happened there then?

went in there after work and it was very quiet. picked up a few things that i had seen on this thread and they were exactly the same they scanned thru at the SE price.

when I asked the girl at the electric desk she acted as if she did not know anything about reductions at all.
I actually thought it was rather strange

Lol. Always like this whenever a member of staff is further reducing perishables/fresh produce dated that day. People just standing there filling their trolleys to the brim waiting for it all to be priced up.
Wanted a job, now have one.

Potentially it could have been a reduced laptop. The SEL was most likely taken by another customer, this happens all the time or could have been removed by staff. However saying that, our pricing doesn't always make sense for example in my store I have a Sony Vaio Intel Dual Core 1.6ghz 4GB 320GB HDD laptop that is £549 but I also have a Acer I5 2.4ghz 6GB 750GB HDD for £499

Hmmm, I think you may have shown me those this morning! :rotfl:
Too many children, too little time!!!

Lol, I've often watched groups of older ladies grabbing the stuff and passing it round until it ends up in one of their trolleys. OAP pass-the-parcel:D.

Ok, I don't go there in the next couple of month, but they said I'm banned from all of the T stores (however they didn't tell all of the Uk ones,or all of the world :) ) The duty manager was there in the close, but he just kept his eyes on us, and didn't tell anything.

You can't be banned from other Tesco stores unless they know your name and it's in the system i.e from a Tesco clubcard or credit card. In the days of r&R it was always advised not to use either as it is a traceable record. As I advised on an earlier post the only way of recognising you is CCTV or visual. In the case of the former you have the right to see it for a payment of £5(I think) but it will be deleted after about six months. For visual it's more difficult but I have found that security staff have a fairly quick turnaround.
    Awaiting a new sig
  • Thanks for the information AJ.

My good lady wife wants an Epi 5. ( Its a hair removal tool for ladies )

Several MSE's have posted it up as discounted at £7.50.

I have scanned it at the self scanners today at two different stores and it comes up at full price £69.00.

Could this be a store specific discount or would it maybe scan at £7.50 at the tills?

    Cheers
