I'm pretty happy with my goodies so far, I managed to get the Braun Silk-Epil 5 for £7.50, a babyliss hairdryer and two Rio Soniclear for £5 each, which are all going away now for Xmas presents
The slow cooker is the 3.5 litre breville, sorry no bar code because I've thrown the box, it was going through at £4:TBeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
Just to save people from wasting their time, standard line laptops will not have been discounted to low prices. If you want one and if the store has them you will have to ask at an Electrical Desk (in Extra format stores) or speak to a member of the Tesco Tech team. Also the majority of Electrical Desks do not open until 9am (Mon-Sat) and 10am (Sun) and staff do not start until then so there won't be anyone to ask at 5 or 6am. Night teams are generally not allowed access to our bonds0

I went to Mr T tonight hunting for some more bargain. We found some stuff, but we had to check a lot. After we paid, the security man caught us and said we are not allowed to get into the store any more, and what else we are not allowed to get into any Mr T store, because they keep a record, and if the camera see us they call the police and we will be arrested for trespass. I asked why, and he said they know I go to Mr T often and checking the prices to get DTD. I had 2-3 DTD all together, one of them was a bigger DTD in that store, but I didn't go for it, I went to find cheap electrical items. My husband said they can't do it, but I don't know. Can they?0

They pretty much have the right to ban anyone they like from their stores I'm afraid. I'm sure if there was some sort of racial grounds then it would be different, but hey ho. I do wonder if someone will ban me at some point. I check a LOT of stuff - never get much mind you! but check anyway so they probably think I'm ripping them off or something.0 -
Hi all,
Joined this thread a little late...... took me a few weeks to recover from the 1p thread!Obviously I know I have missed out on lots of bargains having just returned from my local Mr T's. I had a good look round for the hairdryers & irons (mum needs both as hers are really old) but couldn't find any. There is no self scanner in the store so took a few items to the electrical desk to be scanned. They all came up as SEL
Whilst browsing (well.... hunting would be a better description
) I saw a young tesco employee standing by the laptop display on the phone to someone reading out the specs of an Acer laptop. I waited until he walked away and went up to have a look but there was no SEL. I found a young SA who came over to see which model it was (with the intention of going back to check price). As soon as I pointed it out, he said "Oh that one, it's £379". I thought this was strange as the one next to it (another Acer) was clearly a newer/better model and was priced at £349. I then went to customer services with the model number and asked them to check the price. "It says item not found" the CS lady said. So, does this mean that this would have been one of the reduced laptops do you think?
Off topic, I managed to get a couple of the blue plastic sandpits reduced to £1.50 and the Tesco Tyre Ball Pit/Paddling Pool for £1! HTH
Thanks to everyone posting their finds, I may still find something :rotfl:If at first you don't succeed ........Alternative autism therapies should be free!!

I really wouldnt worry about it, just visit other stores, they wont have a recording of your conversation with the security guard, so in the very unlikely event you get stopped again you can deny all knowledge...
Also i really cant see anyone being arrested and charged with trespass for doing nothing more than shopping.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
Does anyone know what time MR T, restocks shelves in the night by anychance?0

They cant ban you indefinately - surely, Seems to be that the security guard was just throwing his weight around. If someone tried to ban me, I'd want it in writing with a date of when the ban finished.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
