Cant see anything that actually resembles a bush in that pic or clean threads as if somethings loosened off.
Looks more like the bush has disintegrated and needs replaced. As the MOT guy has said.0 -

Seriously? !!!!!! do you think the bolt is going through?0 -
Never done one of those myself but normally anti roll bar bushes come in a pair, one under the bar and one above.
As to the mot tester being a "douche", there is no requirement to do repairs during an mot test.0 -
anyone that thinks that picture is correct should keep away from fixing cars
scotsman4th is basically right but what someone has done is get rid of the bush at the top which would allow the antiroll bar to float,as it is at the moment it will bang, ive seen this before where people cant get the nut on due to not having any strength and cant get the nut started on the thread, just think if they put the same logic into doing brake pads
basic stuff
if any of you cared to look at the link i provided including the original poster there was lots of pretty pictures for yawl to look at
me thinks scotsman4th deserves an apology
just seen hitos post i was busy since reading last post0 -

Hmm, seems the two self proclaimed time served mechanics think that's the way it should be?
Thank god they need to get their cars mot'ed by a professional to sort them out.
That bush looks like the rubber has totally gone, so seems a fair reason to fail, and a good shout by scotsman4th.0 -
Not familiar with the design of the droplinks on that particular vehicle, though I have seen some vehicles which have odd designs of bushes to get away with having just one where normally you'd have two.As to the mot tester being a "douche", there is no requirement to do repairs during an mot test.
Indeed, there is no requirement, but when it's something stupid like a loose bolt, the nice ones will just tighten it up for you, since they're under the car anyway, rather than sending you home with a failure sheet.
Of course if there is a bush missing (which isn't what the failure sheet says, it just says "play") then things are a bit different.0 -
Yup, that's a droplink allright.
Also your MOT tester is a douche. Any MOT I've taken a car too, little things like that they just tighten up as they go around, hence why I thought it was actually worn.
That's not a drop link. That's an anti-roll bar. Be thankful you have an MOT tester that does your repairs for you.0
