You may have enough airmiles for airmiles plus cash, might be worth checking availability now.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

Nothing. Apparently all additional benefits of both systems partners (ie Credit Card companion vouchers) remain the same.
It's looking pretty good, with big reductions in premium flying to north america.
I like the idea of combining BA Miles and Airmiles, then the subsequent use of the new points for flights cars and accomodation. (Although in my experience the only real value of any FF points system is to redeem for premium flying.
Oh, and I thoroughly hate the typical MSE reporting as OMG-THE-WORLD-IS-ENDING-PRICES-SET-TO-SOAR-CATS-AND-DOGS-LIVING-TOGETHER. For once I'd like them to do a decent job of journalism with the sensationalist nonsense.Legal team on standby0 -

That's why they are changing the scheme, saves them money.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
And fair enough richardw, but there's a line - the HK flights I'm talking about are currently costing me 6500 miles each. In future that'll be the equivalent of 7600 miles PLUS £300+! All they're doing there is making sure I book elsewhere.
I suppose there will be tradeoffs though - Cape Town is currently 8000 miles but down to 6500 in the new scheme.0 -

We've used Airmiles extensively to fly from Aberdeen to Heathrow. Also I've used FLYBE to fly my elderly mother from Exeter to Aberdeen. Both "cost" 750 AIRMILES per person return including baggage. How can I find out what the cost for Domestic BA flights are going to be and if there will still be an option to use FLYBE?

It isn't, quite.
According to this table you'll be shelling out 120,000 Avios points for Hong Kong (Zone 7), equivalent to slightly less than the current Airmles price, plus the taxes.
In 'Old Money' that would be 12000 Airmiles plus £632 in Cash!0
