or perhaps a survey of passengers on the 88 bus may be needed.

Interesting how futile some people can get when they have no vaild arguement

How long do you think is reasonable notice then? How will this issue be settled?

Sorry to point out the obvious, but if you don't know your holiday dates for next year it doesn't actually matter. Book a destination before the switch, then simply change the dates when you know your actual holidays next year.
of course I am right, but most people, i admit not all would rather pay less than £400 for a ticket as opposed to £1300. i think you have a fetish for apples and oranges as you keep mentioning them

You don't seem to understand that a miles booking is not the same as a cheap discounted non flexible ticket with cash.

To compare the cash value or saving of a miles ticket you MUST compare it to a cash fully flexible ticket (ie the £1300 one).

Didn't see airmiles on Watchdog - I thought you said it was getting top billing??????

Sad that you missed the humour of my pensions post.

i didnt even see watchdog, so i take if from your comment that it wasn't on, if not it will be next week. never said it would get top billing

i didnt realise that therewas humour in you pension post as people have taken pensions compaanies to court and won.

Can't book for next year as we do not know how many are going

Doesn't matter. You book now, and get a full refund if someone doesn't end up going.
Gets back to my point that miles are fully flexible whereas cash is not.

If it was purley based on reasonable notice, it would have to be a minimum of 18 months to allow for people to be able to book within 2011 and 2012.

How will the issue be resolved, i have no idea, but to ring fence to be used at a time that suits the customer would be the goal. This would also give airmiles a sothing to budget for as there would only be a finite number of airmiles in the system

once again, i would suggest that you get your facts right as the below just hegates two of your recent arguements

    1. If you change or cancel your booking a. Once we have made a booking for you, it can be difficult to change. Some suppliers and most discount flight tickets, flights for cash, some flight redemption bookings and Eurostar tickets, do not allow any changes or cancellations. To enable us to process any allowed refund, you must send your travel documents (including tickets) back to us. Unfortunately, airlines do not allow us to transfer tickets or other documents from one person to another. Airmiles tickets which are purchased wholly or partly using Airmiles including taxes, fees and charges are non refundable should you have to cancel.

Right, so book the ones you know are going with airmiles, and the ones you are unsure with BAEC. Those are fully flexible as I've repeated on countless occasions. Transfer the required points when the schemes come together to get full flexibility in your plans.
