Morning. Hugs and thoughts to everyone who needs them.

Had an early start- doctors at 8.30. Lovely locum spent 10 minutes talking to me about my haywire hormones - he has put me back on some tablets which will go some way towards sorting out my cycle. I've been losing since the end of July, and quite frankly, I've had enough of it.

Got an email last night regarding the funeral of my friend's mum - a week on Wednesday (14th). DH has already booked the day off , and I will be sorting it out the minute I get into school on Monday. I'll have to take it unpaid, but it doesn't matter- being there does.

Today is about washing the spare room bedding (ready for EH's return if needed next week), cleaning the fridge and a few errands. I've got a pot full of chicken stock in the fridge which needs using - I feel some soup coming on.

    Have a good day everyone.

someone with size 12 feet  at 17 years old.

One of my work kids is 19 and has size 21 feet :eek:

Rant alert - as part of the programme I do in work with work kids they have to organise an event for a community group. We arranged to work with both disabled kids and OAPs. On Tuesday the disabled kids group cancelled on us as they did not have enough people interested, and today the OAPs have cancelled as they have other trips next week  I'm so frustrated as my work kids have worked really hard to plan 4 fun days, they have budgetted down to the penny what they can spend etc. I now have to frantically try and find some replacement OAPs but I think it's too short notice. It's stressing me out which is bringing on my vertigo :(. It's a major part of their course, and whilst it's not the end of the world if it doesn't go ahead, it is a right pain in the butt for me as I'll have to find 2 days of things to do for them, which is going to be tough as they have done everything! Grrrr! Rant over.

I'm another one who had a crap night's sleep, feel so tired today :( thought the B12 was meant to perk me up!

OS wise - need to take recycling to tip after work, made packed lunch this morning, and need to make one for tomorrow, DW to be emptied

    Have a good afternoon all

    Morning everyone

Sunny here this morning. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock this morning.

Washing on line and another load ready to go out once that load is dry. Took the boys out for breakfast, not very OS but nice end of hols treat. Went to the next town where shops are much better and much more choice. Both boys got new gum guards as Rugby season starts again on Sunday. They took some games back to shop to sell and then chose a new game each, with what they got back for selling and money on loyalty card only cost £5 - so quite OS! I just picked up another bottle of my perfume, glad I didn't buy it in first shop as went to another and it was on sale and £6 cheaper. :j

Dinner last night was toad in the hole, mash, veg and onion gravy - don't know what I did to the yorkshire but it rose so much it was touching the roof of the oven!! Tonight we're having spag bol, will be putting the BM on soon to make bread to accompany. Will be going to tackle ironing mountain shortly - it's huge so it's going to take a while! Need to get it done though so I can get shopping/baking done etc tomorrow and then have weekend free - as we're out for mum's birthday Saturday lunchtime and boys have Rugby Sunday morning.

Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

p.s. I was walking past a young lady yesterday who had a small boy with her and she was berating him dreadfully
Mum 'I'm fed up to the back teeth with you and can't wait until monday when you go back to school'
Little boy 'I'm sorry Mum I didn't mean it '
Mum 'Thats it next summer you are going to summer school I can't be putting up with your noise for 6 week'
little boy started crying'No Mum I don't want to go there I like being with you'
Mum 'Well I don't like being with you ,you are just too wearing for me'
I know kids can be a handful at times but this little lad was about 6 and was very upset and I thought of my DD and her tribe and how she would love to be at home with them during the long summer holidays .Yesterday she had a day off as she had the dentists to go to for an extraction in the afternoon and in the morning she took the boys swimming thenout for a special treat for them which was a McDds(they don't normally have them as a rule)and when I was talking to her she said although she loves her job she wishes that she could be more with the boys .The only reason she can work full-time is because she knows I take care of them as she would and she would never threaten them with summer school .I felt quite sorry for this little boy and sad that his Mum doesn't realise what precious time she has with her son and how soon it will be gone and he will be grown up and off her hands.maybe she's not maternal I don't know but it just struck me how lucky I am to be able to look after the boys, and what great enjoyment we both get out of it.
*nods understandingly* Poor little beggar.:( One of my mother's favourite threats was she'd send me to boarding school. Unfortunately, because I was hard of hearing even then, I thought she said Borstal. Had I known it was actually boarding school she said, I'd have actually asked to go, as it'd have meant being out of my father's clutches.:(
Made the gingerbread cupcakes last night and H2B said they were nice ( that could mean yeah they're passible or wow these are delicious, it seems to be his stock answer for everything! ) by the time I'd made them I didn't fancy one so haven't tried them yet, brought them in to work with me to have one with a cuppa later and no doubt they'll be shared round.
Lol, I know what you mean.... I make loads of biscuits and cakes for Mr LW's lunchbox (made Birsay biscuits yesterday - there, that's the OS bit of the post:D) but I very rarely eat any myself.:o

Will take myself off back to Lurkdom now.;)
