got caught by the offers in mr t today, bought the tomatoes (4 pk buy 1 get 2 free), lurpak two packs as cheap as value butter, utterly butterly bogof for baking, they didn't have the beans in so got a promise voucher, plus some bread , ham and apples for sp lunchbox on monday. saw on here the offer at lidl on bean so going to compare if tesco or lidl cheaper (if lidl still have in on wed). saw on here the mr t b1g2f scampi mentioned so may go looking for that when next in mr t (or get a promise voucher as our tesco is bound to have sold out!

I also got some of the tinned tomatoes offer, neither of the Mr T's I went into today had the beans :( I didn't realise you could get a promise voucher, do you just go to Customer Services to get one?

Managed to stick to my list :j did stock up on lager for DH and some wine for me :D so although not the cheapest shopping trip ever, we've got plenty to last a couple of weeks if I'm careful :)
Was really pleased to get some reduced meat, so won't have to buy that for a few weeks either.
Did forget to put a couple of things on my list, but they aren't life or death, so can wait :)
Spent £143.05  always looks more scary writing it down lol off to update sig.
Hope everyone has a good saturday eve :)

  • I posted this on the August thread but can I have £600 for September, to include absolutely everything we spend except mortgage and bills.

Well so much for the no spend weekend :o

Spent £10 this morn on a fry up for me, OH and my dad. But my dad had come to help us with the garden, and £10 for a day's hard labour is pretty cheap in my book!

He also brought us some dog food, dog treats, crisps, biscuits, cheese, bacon and bagels (he always brings food!) so that should keep us going for a while :)

£73.23 spent so far and only 4 days in!
September GC: £400.00/£600 (everything except mortgage & bills)

Sorry I am late posting this month but please can I aim for £280
  • Another spend today of £8.74 at our local shop. This was on 6 large free range eggs £1.29, bottle of lemonade £1.49 and 4 bottles of brown ale £5.96. I'm quite surprised, out of curiosity I checked how much the same would have cost at Mr S ( our nearest supermarket and where I would have called into if I hadn't have popped to the shop ) and it would have been £10.13!!

Need to pop out to a supermarket tomorrow as I need to bake a cake for a charity thing at work so need a couple of things for that. I'm going to make a list and JUST buy whats on the list. I will do it!
Going to get to grips with food shopping again, starting February!

Got married to my lovely hubby on 12/11/2011 :D
  • 5.60 on takeaway on the way home, not neccessary but was very nice :-0

now got less than £20 for the rest of the week. Have food in so this is doable, going to try to get some of the b1g2f scampi so thats £4 spent if it's in stock (or i'll ask for another promise voucher)
