you could consider getting a bb gun or air pistol and dealing with it that way. I have a similar problem with a new cat on the block that has killed all nesting birds in my garden (I've watched it do this from the rear window and the birds went mad trying to defend thier nests).
I hate cats and people who love them are even weirder....there's something very odd about the way cats act in my view...
Cat poo is a particular health hazard for young children. As is a tale, so is life: not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters.0 -
Get one of these,
http://www.trapman.co.uk/cat-trap.htm
Then when you take the cat back to its owner you can explain the problem, and what will happen next time.
Some cat owners do not seem to want to take responsibility for their pets and the solution should not depend on you changing your ways.0 -

Get some chickens! I used to be the cut through garden for all the cats near me. No longer is this the case. They don't like the chickens and not seen a cat since having the 2 chickens.0

Get some "silent roar" from your garden centre.
Its pellets of dried lion poo, cats don't like it because they know its from another animal laying down its scent.0 -
