Cats roam, they c r a p they pee you cant stop em, I have cats, I cant stop them from going in other folks gardens and I certainly wont keep them locked inside.

If any of my neighbours complained then i'd happily clean up after my cats, simple as that.

If you show wthe cat who's boss then it'll be less likely to come back again, cats dont like hissing noises, water bomb them with a water bomb, shout at them they'll soon get the message.

Then you are not a responsible owner then are you. Your cats should be house cats and taken out for walks like dog owners do.If you can't do that then you shouldn't have cats. Dogs evolved from Wolves and they roamed so would you be ok with having all of the neighbours dogs !!!!ping in your garden at all times of the day and night? no thought not.

The last sentance makes me chuckle, hissing noises, water bombs etc. Do you seriously believe people want to sit around 24/7 looking out of their windows water bomb in hand ready and waiting?.......:rotfl:

Feel free to pop round and keep watch for me..:D Again your putting the onus on society to sort out your problem rather than you.

Jog on and fill the water bombs......Just to add foxes, hedgehogs, badgers etc are wild animals cats are not so theres no comparison and it shows a lack of argument to compare them as such.

It proves my point though Mucky.........;) You still haven't come up with a solution have you.

The Local chief Constable knows I am as he granted the certificate....Your whole aguement seems to be that "Cats roam and its not my fault and theres nothing I can do".

There should be a change in the Law so that cats are treated exactly the same as dogs..

PS: Posting endless smilies is a bit like people who swear, it shows they have low inteligence and can't think of anything constructive to say .. Enough said.

Indeed. One should reserve ones ire especially for the thoughtless and selfish owners who can't make do with one cat, not even two. A couple of my neighbours have 5 cats each. What's all that about?
It's certainly decimated the birds and other wildlife round here. Well done to them.

    Completely agreed.

    rideo, or is it ideo?

None of it is nice, especially when in my case, owners know of the damage THEIR animals caused me, I say cause, coz like all good engineers, the issue is sorted!!

    Have a good day, ideo.

Lol I'm sorry, what? Have you tried to turn my username into some kind of lame pun on idiot? How juvenile.

Sorry mate, can't take you seriously.

I used to let my cats roam free, no complaints from the neighbours but now we've moved they want the cats back. They have rats, mice, squirrels, rabbit and mole problems which our cats kept under control for 4 houses. Far worse was the dog next door who used to escape and didn't return when called, managed to kill at least one hen we know of. The local farmers would have been well within their rights to kill it if it got in with livestock ( it did on at least one occasion I know of).

Hi..a Canadian solution. Wish we had responsible pet owners in our neck of the woods.

  • The main problem here is that the pet belongs to you, and your pet should not be going in anyone`s garden and using it as a toilet.

I like cats, I don`t mind animals, I don`t mind cats. Am the first one who will stroke a cat if one happens to be near me, but I draw the line when they keep using my garden as a toilet.

Whilst I wouldn`t harm a cat, for that brief moment of anger, you wish you had something that would sort the little !!!!per out for sure, especially when you are trudging your neighbours cats !!!! in your house and your car.

We shouldn`t have to put up with neighbour having to come round and pick it up, we just shouldn`t have to deal with it in our gardens, simple as. It stinks, its dirty, carries disease and very unpleasant.

Its totally catch 22 on this thread, cat owners/lovers will say everything is hunky dorey, and people who don`t own cats will throw the odd BB gun/poison comments.

So can we stick to a surefire way off stopping a neighbours cat from using our gardens as their own personal toilet. It simply isn`t fair that us not cat owners should have to deal with it.
