You guys will rubbish me but this but it is true.

Derbyshire police had a fleet of Rover 800s or 820s, can't recall.
They decided to see how retaining these long term affected the running costs.

Last one standing was a 4 year old cars with 285K on the clock. It was "let go" as the interior looked like something a dog wouldn't sleep in.

    This one's brilliant.

A friends family run a taxi buisiness from Doncaster. They had 1 vehicle, a 1987 Vauxhall Astra Diesel that did nothing other than return journeys to Leeds Bradford or Manchester airports

It was driven in shifts by several drivers so used around the clock.
At 6 years old it had done 480,000 miles with nothing more than
tyre and brake changes and normal servicing, plus new fuel pump and a head gasket. Never heard the end result.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Sold my 98 Passat 20v 1.8T sport earlier this year with 199000 on the clock for £700. The only thing that had given up the ghost was the stereo. Still looked mint and drove well.
