    Hi Ami82
love your crotchet snowflakes because they are 3D- chunky - whatever and the patterns I have used in the past are all flat and pinned out to shape snowflakes. Please where did you get the patterns as I would love to try them out for friends. Actually I think they would be great as gift tags- like a double use. The " tag" then goes on the tree

  • does anyone know whether you need to stitch the gingerbread men inside out and then turn them or do you just stitch and stuff with stitches showing? or were the ones in the pics done with an overlocker? thanks

Sales, boots, charity shops, ebay- why would anyone ever pay full price for anything??!

Tina - they're lovely - just the sort of thing for foster daughters baby..........she'll be 3 months old and won't know much about it but be nice for her anyway and her mum would be thrilled. Off to see how you make them:)
Hey Mary, long time no speak, how are you keeping?
I think I've lost my creative juices, haven't made anything in ages (apart from the odd nappy cake).
Have I missed any fab gravy tub ideas :)
A creative mess is better than tidy idleness :D
  • prettyflamingo, the ones i made (the pics are on the first page) were sewn on the outisde
partly because they were too small to turn, they are less than 3"
partly because i thought the stitching looked nice on the outside

some i did blanket stitch, some a running stitch
that size? running stitch is easier and nicer
i did 2 larger ones just to have sitting, they need a blanket stitch

i found placing the pieces together, and starting at the waist, doing the legs to the other waist, and stuff, then one arm and head, and stuff, then other arm, stuff and finish was easiest
and i decorated the front before i joined them
they are VERY easy to make and take very little in the way of decorating, so you can use up the tiniest pieces of trims

***also wondering how Mary is and her 1001 ways with gravy tubs, hope all is well mary***
