Ooh I've bookmarked this thread! I made the beaded snowflakes last year. I got 3 different sized wires so placed one of each size on top of each other. I costed them out though and they would have been quite expensive to sell.
I like the angels, I think I might make those this year. And its pay day this weekend so I'll be perusing ebay to find the little wings.
  • The angels don't cost very much to make. I use 50mm headpins, 16mm teardrop beads, wings, 6mm clear bead and 8mm crystal rondelle bead......perhaps 60p each?

Does anyone make their own wreaths? I have a willow wreath base that I add ivy & suchlike to, but have recently started to make 'rag wreaths'. They are the easiest thing in the world to put together ~ for the two below, I only had to pay for the double ring frame, but you can easily use a wire coathanger twisted into shape. I asked around and some generous neighbours gave me some bags of old clothes, bedding & cloth ~ the cloth is cut into 5 inch length strips, then tied around the wire and cut to size. Takes about 3 hours, but is really effective. I added some raffia to the autumn wreath to make a bow, and downloaded a 'primitive' tag from the net to finish it off.

  • Love the stockings!

I've been collecting pine cones all year and am threading them on ribbons etc, have found you can drill through them with a very fine bit which makes threading things on very easy. I would also like to have a go at my own wreath this year.
