Sleep?! with a new baby?:rotfl:
My son has slept his first full night (7:30pm to 5:30am) when he was nearly 1 yr old.
I was so envious of my friends who claimed their babies slept the night since 3 month old until they admitted they count the night slept through if baby was quiet for at least 5hrs:D
Congrats on all your ebaying - where do you take your energy from?? My son is 2yr old this saturday and I still got bags and bags and bags of his baby clothes
No point selling it now though - just in case my lovely girl I'm expecting next month 'grows some':rotfl::rotfl:
HI Weronika -thanks for posting! Hope your little one had a good birthday and best of luck for the birth of his sibling!
I think five hours sounds like it could count as a decent night's sleep! My little one wakes up about every three hours, but he feeds quietly and then goes back to sleep. I've now FINALLY mastered the art of feeding him on my side, so I don't quite feel so sleep deprived now!
I get my motivation for ebaying from looking at my dwindling bank account!! Also, I've been using the FB selling page and listing everything for pick up to avoid the post office queue as much as possible! Still always more to go though and I guess it will continue as DS seems to be growing out of clothes faster than I can wash them!Overpay!0 -
my DD is 4 and only now are we getting rid of her baby clothes!
so far so good on my no jeans lent but I am going out saturday night and was going to wear my going out jeans ah well skirt it is then
DS sleeps through for us and has done since about 6 weeks old. we count a sleep through from 10.30pm - 7/8am. it's a bit late putting him to bed but it means not having to get up in the middle of the night so swings and roundabouts i suppose
Going out? I remember that!! Loving the idea of you getting dressed up in jeans and then having to change into a skirt while other people are off the booze for Lent!
My DS won't go to bed until 10.30pm either. All of my friends talk of "routines" but I just go with the flow! I wonder if he'll ever do what I say?!Overpay!0 -

Another NSD today apart from having to buy some tissues as DS and I both have horrible colds.
We have mostly spent the day at home sneezing and sorting stuff for the boot sale season to begin! Have a great weekend everyone!Overpay!0 -
hi pbr...am really impressed at your finding time for ebaying and other things. I seem to have 'lost' the past 2 months to baby and that's with my mum doing loads and OH too. I will be trying to take some of the clothes my son has outgrown back to the UK to sell. Do you find they sell ok?
My son has only just started to sleep at all at night - till a week ago it was his preferred time of the day to play/ cry. But sleeping the night through...what's that? He normally has a bottle every 4 hours and wakes up about an hour before his feed and doesn't go to sleep till an hour after. So I end up getting about 4 hours of sleep in every 8 - and that's on a good day. The day he sleeps for 5 hours continuously at night will be a very happy day for me - it can't come soon enough!Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

Hi Mouche! I was just doing my diary spying and saw that you had a little boy - how wonderful! Many congratulations to you and MrMouche!
I know exactly what you mean about time ticking by very quickly in these first weeks in a whirlwind of nappies, sleep (sometimes!) and feeding. DH often comes home from work and asks what we've been up to and I always struggle to come up with an answer!
Your little one's sleep pattern doesn't sound too bad actually but I am sure he will improve. Perhaps he's working on a slightly different time zone and will settle down when you get home and he's with his dad too?
As for selling clothes, it's probably not worth using up your luggage allowance to sell them here. As things can be bought so cheaply in supermarkets, people have a "disposable" mindset towards baby clothes and though they can be in great condition, they don't really sell for much, once worn. It's a real shame as my DS grows so quickly that he simply hasn't worn more than a handful of outfits!
I have made use of the local NCT sales rather than eBay as I'd rather get some pocket money to buy DS some bigger clothes and we also need the space!
It's lovely to see you back on MSE - best of luck with everything although I imagine mortgage OPs will be far from your mind at present!Overpay!0 -
CAn I count today as a NSD? The only money I've spent was a couple of quid on posting an amazon parcel. The funny thing was that I have had it listed for some time at 99p. I then increased the price to £6 and it sold almost instantly.
I've also managed not to buy any £1 Easter eggs as I am experiencing quite serious cravings for chocolate! Of course, I gave this up for Lent, but not long to go until Easter!Overpay!0
