delurks to say Congratulations......... tell us more.... sex/name etc (or did I miss something). Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

Aw, thank you MrsMoo2U, Newgirly and Sepa!!
We had a lovely little boy - it was very nice not to know if we were having a boy or girl in advance, although people are keen to know in advance so they can buy clothes! We have been truly blessed with gifts from friends and family meaning that we've not had to spend the thousands that people tell you are necessary! Stay posted for tips on how to have a frugal baby! Freecycle and waiting for my friends to have children first are my top recommendations!!

Happy New Year everyone!
I'm ashamed to say that we saw in the New Year with Jools Holland last night - frugal but not very exciting! I had my first little bit of alcohol for about nine months - I have made a huge saving on that front - and changed my first nappy of 2012 at about a minute past. This meant the nappy had actually been filled the previous year!
I've got 12 resolutions for 2012 so please help me stick to them!
1. Get back to pre-pregnancy weight and then down one more size!
2. Make mortgage OPs of £500 a month
3. eBay everything we don't need/use.
4. Move house
5. Make presents for people instead of buying them-am thinking of brewing my own brand of PBR beer.
6. Grow our own veg more consistently.
7.Cook everything from scratch (I have generally been successful with this but with some cheats along the way - mostly where desserts are concerned).
8. Walk more - (have just sold one car so this should be easy!)
9. Watch less TV.
10.Get bubs signed up at the library
11. No internet when hubby gets home
12. Stay off the booze after 9 months off!Overpay!0 -
