Sainsburys aren`t always that tight !

My mum found a piece of bone in a sainsburys own make beef curry a couple of years ago and took it into the local branch. the customer service staff were rude and just laughed. My dad then phoned head office as my mum came back really upset. Sainsburys then sent her a pre-paid envelope to send it to them AND £55 of gift vouchers. My mum had the smile back on her face then !

I also got a £15 cheque from nestle as I sent them a lighhearted letter saying that there milkybar buttons are always loose in the multi-packs, and not only am I loosing a packet, but Im also gaining weight from eating all the loose ones !! LoL

I had to get a new television once from Sainsburys, got it home to find its manual dirty and written on inside, the television was lovely but had already been used, sainsburys had sold me a second hand television and I wasnt happy,my dad said I will speak to the manager would you like money off the next television I get sent or a new one,I said no way do I want money off I want a completely new television and he rang them and said could they deliver me the new television that day,the manager said yes and they would be there within the hour, they came and gave me a new television and as a gesture of goodwill they gave me a £10 voucher which I spent on food at Sainsburys. It always pays to complain as you never know where it may lead you :)

I remember years ago my whole family had a craze on these lovely crisps. They were only on sale in pubs and came with a little pot of dip inside. They were gorgeous!! Wish they still made them.

Anyway, my point is....My Mum sent the company a christmas card and a letter saying how nice the crisps were. The rest of the family (including me) just took the mick out of her. That was until we received a cardboard box full of the crisps. Must have been about 30 packets!! Might try sending out some compliments myself- makes a nice change from complaining.
Cracking idea. Top of my christmas card list this year will be The Royal Mint!!!

  • Complained to Somerfield last year about a bag of their own brand dried pasta. Received £5.00 voucher from them and a £5.00 postal order from the manufacturer. Not bad for something that cost less than £1.

i complained to cadbury's when i found a sealed empty fudge wrapper in their 'Treat Size' bags. A few weeks later i received a letter with a stamp enclosed as a reimbursement for sending the letter & a 250g Cadbury's Dairy Milk bar & a 250g Dairy Milk Honeycomb chocolate bar - yum :) !
  • Had greenfly in my M&S BLT sandwich one lunchtime - rang them to tell them (rang local branch, which was just across road from my office) and they came to collect it. They were dressed like they had come to removed nuclear waste (full arm length gloves and special sample sealable bags)....just for a few flies! I got few weird looks at work, but also received £40 worth of vouchers a few weeks later (along with a 20 page report about why the 'insectocutor' had failed on the line at their suppliers, only got to page 2 I have to admit!!) :D

I complained to Nestle that a caramel keg from a box of quality street had no caramel in. I received vouchers for £3.00 - enough to buy another box!

I've just decided to start complaining about little things too.

First complaint to Original source about a faulty handwash - lets see how I get on!

Original source replied quickly & will be sending me replacements!

Also sent my comments to a condom manufacturer and got sent 12 x 12 packs for my inconvenience!
