I wrote to Brewers Fayre about a diabolical visit to their Bailey Bridge (Christchurch) Restaurant. They sent me a long letter about how they would look into all the problems and a voucher for 25pound to be used at any Brewers Fayre.
I went to another branch to use that - and got refunded some of the extra money I spent there because of their awful service!!! I don't know whats happening with Brewers lately, but everyone I go to is AWFUL :mad:0 -
Have also written to Quorn to compliment them and they have sent me two '50p off next purchase' coupons.
Went into Sainsburys and complained about a bunch of flowers my mum bought for me last week and only lasted 4 days (14 day guarantee) and got a more expensive bunch as a 'goodwill gesture'!
I'm enjoying this! My mum is even going to start complimenting and complaining!0 -

Way back in 1993, whilst my wife was pregnant with our first daughter, she had a thing about rice pudding. So on a trip around Tesco's, we picked up a tin of Ambrosia Creamed Rice.
Later that day, she went to open the tin and found at the very top was a Fly (apparently a bluebottle).
I contacted the company, who asked me to keep the empty tin and put the "fly" in the fridge for the mean time. They sent me a container for the fly and I sent the whole package back to them.
A couple of weeks passed and I received a letter stating that they have examined my "claim" and cannot understand how such an object could find its way into their products as they have a multi-layered protection system to prevent this from happening.
However, they enclosed 3X£2 vouchers with the letter (why do that if they are as good as telling me it wasn't in the tin when we produced it?).
As to this day, the vouchers are still in some cupboard somewhere, as the episode has put us off of rice pudding for good anyway. I often consider sending the vouchers back with a stiff letter, but not sure if I can be bothered.
I'm just glad the fly was in the top layer of the rice, rather than the bottom!!0 -
That isn't a very nice story, doesn't make me want to run and eat a tin of rice pud now! Why don't you see if you can still use the vouchers, you could always use them against your shopping to get your own back on them :-) They might be out of date of course.0

I bought some Clementines from M&S a couple of years ago. They basically weren't very nice. So I sent them the net back that they came in with a polite letter pointing out that these 'easy peel seedless' clementines were neither easy peel or seedless.
I week later an apology letter and £15 vouchers. Result!
Seems the idea is to always write to head office rather than take back to the shop!BE NICE - IT'S FREE!0 -
I received a £2 voucher from Bold today for complimenting them.0

Inspired by this thread I have just emailed Mc Donalds:
Your restaurant does not offer coffee,
I see on your menu you only offer it in selected restaurants. What do you offer for breakfast if you don't have coffee? I don't like latte or cappuccino as they are too sickly and prefer black coffee.
Also I had a cheese burger( You call it a burger) it would better be described as a cheese roll. The cheese was thicker then the burger!
I ordered two more burgers for other family members both were stupidly thin.
I realise your company is on a health kick at the moment but removing the meat and coffee from the menu will loose you more customers then the obese people will loose weight!
I hope I have a better visit to one of your restraunts in the future.0
