Today I got £3 in vouchers from Finish because I emailed them about how nice their mint dishwasher freshener smells!
Also emailed Gap to say thet they are the ONLY shop I can go to buy jeans where i ALWAYS fit in the same size, and they just said 'thanks for your positive comments' It was worth a try. One of these a week and you could easily recoup the cost of your broadband connection over time ;DMember no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Recently made genuine complaints about leaking products.
1 Stella Beer tin - got a £6 voucher from Interbrew
2 Muller Yoghurts - got £5 voucher
Just going to tell Coca Cola about a burst tin in a box so fingers crossed.
Complained to Sainsbury that their shelves are always empty and they refused the Interbrew voucher (I wanted it off the shopping and hadn't bought beer) It took them a week to reply and just said sorry shelves are empty and trying to do better. That's it - no wonder they've lost market share. Still, their reductions on "sell-by" stuff are about the best there is and their 5p per litre fuel discount tickets are great, even if you've to pick them up blowing in the car-park0 -
I used to work in a call centre and one of the campaigns was for Dowe Egberts and the like, so I called them from my desk, waved to the nice girl, said my coffee was really very bitter and got about £10 in vouchers and a questionnaire which when I sent back got me another £5 - very handy as a student, I think it was Kraft that did it, so they're a soft touch, although they keep your details so I couldn'd do it again...my house mates did though and now I've moved, I reckon it's safe!!Ta0

I've been having ongoing problems with the delivery (or, rather, the non delivery) of a new Switch card from one of the major banks. Inspired by advice from regular MSE posters I made my first ever complaint to Customer Services yesterday. The Bank Manager personally phoned me this morning, the problem has been rectified immediately, staff training will be reviewed and a 'goodwill' gesture of 25 pounds will be deposited in my bank account later this afternoon. What a result!0

i buy highland spring sparkling 500ml water 3 to 4 packs a week i got them home and found that one of them wasnt filled up as if someone drank some but it was sealed..
i tried bringing it back to tesco's they said to deal with the company...
so i went to there website and e-mailed about it giving them the code... the lady was VERY nice and told me she didnt understand why tesco's didnt take it..
anyways she told me that she would arrange for a pack to be
sent to my house....
and low and behold a guy knocked on my door holding a pack of 24 sparkling 500ml water!!! i am chuffed to bits! all over a bottle of water that wasnt filled up all the way!
its worth complaining sometimesChange Jar: £19

I guess quite a few of us are doing 'complimenting' now... I wrote to a well-known nappy manufacturer (not the one that likes sending lovely money-off vouchers
) and got a reply saying "thank you for your complimentary comments". Now, my comments were NOT complimentary, they obviously were not bothered to read it >:( >:( >:( Was really cheesed off, so sent them another letter (just as well it's a freepost address!). See what happens... ::)

When I wrote to complain about a box of Maltezers I'd bought having a lot of soft & gooey centres & also mentioning that I bought a lot of Malterers each week, all I got back was a letter saying they were sorry I wasn't happy. A voucher for a replacement box would have been in order I feel. :-[
They're my favourites - the soft and gooey ones! I wish I knew how to pick the incorrect batches out!!!0 -

I bought some Tesco garlic mushrooms reduced. At home I was munching through them when I bit into something that didn't tast like a mushroom. I spat it out and saw a black lump. On looking in the mirror, my whole mouth had gone black and I could taste soil (I am hoping it was soil). At that point I started heaving.
I made a special trip the next time I was out, and coplained very loudly to cust serv. They refunded the FULL price and took my detials.
Shortly afterwards I recieved a letter with a £10 Tesco voucher, not bad as I had already had an over-refund!. Total returned £12.49
By the way, for anybody with a Tesco card, did you know that you can have the points added after sale, as long as you keep your reciept and there is no ClubCard metioned on it? It pays to pick up the reciepts left behind, my personal best being 147 points in bicester having spent £2.50 of my own on a sandwhich."Excuse me, this expires today, will you be reducing it?"0 -
