Hi all,
Well I set to this morning and cleared half the dining room. All those things that shouldn't have been there are now in the hall. They shouldn't be there either but one thing at a time. Hardly had I finished when 2 dear folk turned up with loads of sleeping bags etc for our drop-in centre. Where to put them? Why, in the space I had just cleared in the dining room of course. So now I can't move in the dining room and the hall is fairly impassable as well.
Did someone mention Christmas?
I'm off to bed.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Just realised I haven't read this thread for ages. {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} to everyone who needs them.
We've been really lax with our frogs/tadpoles due to other things getting in the way but have recently sorted and tidied out the towel cupboard and sorted through the sideboard and got a box to go the CS. Also cleaned the stair carpets with the bargain compact Bissell I bought.
The next frog is tidying out under the kitchen sink again. However many times we do this it always gets in a mess quickly!!!0 -

Afternoon all. Just checking in. Can't remember all the frogs/tadpoles, but have still to do:
Finish quilting bro's quilt (slow progress here folks, the procrastination bug has squashed me)
Bottle sloe gin and lick up drips
Make sugar syrup for Limoncello
(as you can see these two jobs are not going to be too hard, it's washing the bottles out first that bothers me)
Finish making bucket bags to put the Christmas gifts in (2 down, 4 to go)
Decide which scooter we are going to buy Thing One - must be done tonight
Start folding cards to make Christmas cards and cut out the pictures the kids have done for them
Money for tomorrow's haircut - must be done tonight
Decide on soup flavour for tomorrow's lunch with friend/tea for kids
Menu plan for December - Done! Filled out this morning, all the way to Jan 5th
Brain has gone into shut-down mode now, so will sign off. Love to all xxx:jMoney saving eco friendly Fertility reflexology specialist :j0 -
Hello folks,
Thanks for the posts. Since last Friday, I've been sorting out a big file ("frog") of information that is no longer required. Still some more to do yet but nearly finished. The information is from over a decade ago. Also, a "froglet" occurred due to fixing the bicycle puncture. This is to sort out all the unneeded bike accessories/repair items which is taking sometime. The only "froglet" completed yesterday was to decide to begin a new moneysaving challenge this month.
Football Widow - thanks for your message. Yes, I keep doing jobs but it seems like "stopping and starting" at the moment (maybe like yourself?). However, long term a lot has been done?0 -
 to All.
Great to catch up on your posts.
We have good news and bad news. Good news is that the batons for the curtain track are up. Door is on and shuts properly. FROG Door to be painted.
Bad news is that Grandad is not coming for Christmas, he is suffering with his short term memory and also an enlarged prostrate so he is staying up in Newcastle until he is feeling better, so maybe in the New Year.
Next big FROG for me is to paint the little hallway which has been created with the moving of the wall for Grandad's room soon to be DD's play room and maybe a little craft room for me. So those little pesky froglets are starting to add up!
I worked today so plan to have a day tomorrow to get all presents wrapped and sorted and get as up todate as possible.

Why are frogs so happy? They eat whatever bugs them!0 -
Finish quilting bro's quilt - 4 rows of quilting done today
Bottle sloe gin and lick up drips }
Make sugar syrup for Limoncello } Still have to wash the bottles out for these, so slightly not done yet
Finish making bucket bags to put the Christmas gifts in (2 down, 4 to go) - no progress on this one today
Decide which scooter we are going to buy Thing One - purchased due to the wonder of t'internet
Start folding cards to make Christmas cards and cut out the pictures the kids have done for them - all cut out, some cards folded, one given to recipient
Money for tomorrow's haircut - done and cut
Decide on soup flavour for tomorrow's lunch with friend/tea for kids - done and eaten
So I have squished a few, but now also added a few.
1. Short walk outside every day even if it really hurts
2. Sewing of some kind every day until all sewing gifts are finished
3. Make sure all ingredients for menu plan actually live in the house
4. Finish foreign destination Christmas cards ready for posting Friday
5. Fold more cards!
6. Ask OH to muck out chickens!
xxx Rowsew
FW, sorry to hear about Grandad, after all that work too! My OH's father has recently been diagnosed with vascular dementia, he can't remember my name (we've been together nearly 20 years) and his short term memory is pretty shot too. I hope your Grandad is better by the New Year.:jMoney saving eco friendly Fertility reflexology specialist :j0 -
Good afternoon everybody,
The big file of information ("frog") I mentioned is now finished. The best "reward" is some kind of uplifting feeling now it is all gone. Also, it wasn't nice memories to keep hold of and didn't apply to present me. The other previously mentioned bicycle task ("froglet") is still pending.
Today is such a terrible weather day so will keep busy with as many miscellaneous indoor "frogs" as possible. Sorry to hear about people unwell at the moment.0 -
You will have to make your own booze!
Very true rowsew!!!:DMake sugar syrup for Limoncello
Oh lush!! I absolutely LOVE Limoncello....:happyhear....do you have recipe?? that would just make my year!!!:T
FB...so sorry to hear about your grandad.... sending you hugs:grouphug:
Frog this weekend is the housework....I have really had a nightmare couple of weeks at work, I love my job normally but have been hideously lied to by one of my clients who I have worked flat out for over the past two weeks, so feel very disheartened at the moment...unfortunately, it has meant that I have done nothing in the house and my froglets are turning into giant amphibians:eek:
However, I am having a day off today, to get myself de-stressed and will tackle the house tomorrowFrog squashing here I come!!
