What a great idea FW, can I join you please as I was thinking today I must do a list of jobs I'd like done before Christmas.
This week
Froglet...Try to remove coffee stain off lounge carpet
Froglet...Clean out baking cupboard
Froglet...Clean out dining room cupboard
reward half hour in peace with my book0 -
Hello everybody,
Thanks for the previous posts. My "frog" tasks have seemed less or intermittent recently. I am unsure whether the following are "frogs" or simply having to attend to other things thus taking away the time for undone jobs?
"Froglet" - reading pages and pages of information another poster had given me. "Reward" was that the job completed seemed right to do (i.e. appreciative of the other poster) plus could then send "thanks".
"Froglet" - removing stains of kitchen surfaces. "Reward" is just looks better.
"Froglet" - numerous sessions of sorting out foraged crab apples. "Reward" will be the recipes.
"Froglet" - weeding a stepping stone area. "Reward" is noticing nature (a shiney green beetle), less overall weeding to do and finding some edible greens.
So like yourself Football Widow, trying to take advantage of the "better" weather days. monnagran - thanks for your comment about my garden. I think the garden has various aspects that a gardener would find interesting but as for "beauty" it depends on the onlooker. (Nice for you that you find your church activities enjoyable).0 -
Good Morning All
Sorry went awol again - lack of motivation AGAIN!
So today I am trying to keep focussed and have decided to finish decorating the shower room once and for all! To help keep me focussed I decided to follow some advice (from this thread!!) and make a list:
[STRIKE]Paint Coving[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Paint Ceiling[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Paint Woodwork incl cupboard[/STRIKE]
Reward - cup of tea with kitkat - yum ... back to ...
[STRIKE]Paint Walls[/STRIKE]
Re-do one wall and round the window!!!!!!
I plan to get this all done today. Have to be tomorrow now!
DD has gone a school trip (first time without Mummy) and I am a little anxious about it (anxiety and phobia of my own!!) so it will be good to keep busy. She came home shattered - lots of walking (not her favourite and her best!!) fortunately no travel sick - yeah!!!
After I have done the shower room I then have some book keeping that needs to be done. So plan to split it down into months to make it more managable.

I also have some little tadpoles
Ring Doctor
[STRIKE]Clean out Guinea Pigs[/STRIKE]
Dannie how do you keep yourself motivated? Any advice would be gratefully received. x
Will update my list as I get through it.
MANTRA FOR TODAY: I must keep focussedFootball Widow :footie:
Why are frogs so happy? They eat whatever bugs them!0 -
Well it is a new day and I was supposed to go to work but didn't feel great today so I have pottered about abit - squished a few tadpoles - so things are a little more organised.
A little later I will be painting 'the' wall and round the window and then that will be finshed. Just got a leak on the radiator to sort out and then I can ring the carpet man to lay the carpet and vinyl. Grandad is due down on the 7th so hopefully it should be lovely for him. I have ordered some net curtains as next door get a fine view at the moment. But I think that I will need some curtains for him too! So that will be the next task!
Just going to have a cuppa then a little rest and then start on the accounts starting with April - :T
DD came home exhausted from her trip and slept really well. New routine - no holding hands now - stories, kiss and leave the room. 2 nights have been very successful, long may it continue!!
Looking forward to catching up with any frog squishing that people may be up to ... xFootball Widow :footie:

Hello everybody,
Just a few fairly easy "tadpoles" since my last post:-
Weeding a small area and filling the "green" recycling bin for collection. "Reward" afterwards was a nice warm drink and "escape" from the dull/wet weather.
Cleaned inside and top of the oven and surrounding area due to spillages awhile ago. It just felt therapeutic afterwards as the surface appeared so much fresher.
Sorted out a small table containing various useful information. "Reward" is a feeling of being organised.
Setting these aside I have two "frogs" pending which are definitely:eek:
and tonight a puncture mending "froglet" job which I've known about early this a.m.
Thanks for your posts Football Widow. I haven't forgot your query. I just want to give it more consideration. By the way, it seems like you are getting through quite a lot of your "frogs" and sounds nice what you are doing for "Grandad".0 -
Honestly, I turn my back for 2 seconds and you are all steaming ahead with your big and little frogs and leaving me for dead.
FW I don't know why you think you need more motivation. It seems to me that you accomplish massive amounts. If you mean that you have to force yourself to get on with things, well, join the club. I never seem to do anything willingly, it all seems a huge effort and it's been like that all my life. My lazy gene is very well developed though where it came from I can't imagine, my parents were both 'doers'. We used to call Mum, 'the white tornado' because she did every thing so quickly and enthusiatically. Ah well, someone once said that I had a calming presence - probably because I don't like moving!
Dannie - you are my inspiration!I believe that friends are quiet angels

Sun's over the yardarm early at your place then! I've been looking for wine to drink, but it all seems to have mysteriously disappeared
Frogs so far in the past week:
1.Check up at hospital. Not good news, it appears that I have two broken bones and not one as they told me six weeks ago, I also have something called complex regional pain syndrome which is a result of the injuries, and the moonboot thing I have been staggering around on is no longer helping so I have to walk on my still broken foot using my crutches. A day where I felt like I was going more back than forward. Also the painkillers they gave me make me comatose in the day, and keep me awake at night. Have spent nearly £16 on this jolly combination  and have decided to grit my teeth and bear it and just take paracetemol, available at 16p in my local Aldi!
2. Get ready for Thing Two's birthday - all done and she has had a lovely time, and we still have some cake left.:T
3. Write list of all christmas gifts purchased/made or needing to be done. Some gaps there . . .
4. Go to Mum's to check the house, get post etc (this is where I broke my foot), all done and the tap that was dripping is now fixed, so less of a worry
5. Start making Christmas cards. Got a bit stuck here because although the children have done the artwork and I have scanned into mac, have run out of ink so cannot actually print anything. (next frog will be to find ink that will not bankrupt me)
6. Menu plan for December - not done at all yet
Thata's enough for now, I have an endless and revolving list of things but writing some down does focus the mind on a few at a time.
Hope all are well and squishing. x x x:jMoney saving eco friendly Fertility reflexology specialist :j0
